3RD PERSON

For two days and two nights, trinity and Hoseok did not speak to each other.

During that time, trinity did some self evaluation and thinking. She attended church with her parents on Sunday morning and Sunday night they had a movie night, eating popcorn and drinking soda.

On Monday, she sat cooped up in her old bedroom reading books.

She had finished pride and prejudice. She had a serious connection to that book. She found herself wrapped up in the words of Jane Austen, connecting herself to Elizabeth and Hoseok to Darcy.

They of course shared tremendous differences but in a way their relationship was one trinity couldn't help but think deeply about.

She and Hoseok were of course more modern, and while they shared a few similarities between the characters - trinity felt silly and could admittedly say they were opposite. Thank fucking god.

Now though, she had moved on to Maya Angelou.

Reading I know Why the Cadged Bird Sings , and now wrapping herself deeply into the autobiography.

Reading took a lot of hours out of her day and she wasn't ashamed to admit it. Hoseok had her car which was fine, after all he was the one that had bought it and Trinity needed some time alone.

Her old bedroom gave her the perfect comfort. It brought her back to highschool somehow, and in this bed she thought about just how rocky and interesting her senior year was.

It was around ten pm when Trinity decided to put the book down. Her parents popped in to check on her and afterwards decided they too needed to hit the sheets.

Trinity laid awake for a few minutes, sometimes picking up her phone to see if hoseok had so much as texted her.

He didn't. And each time Trinity's disappointment grew more and more. But she could understand that he needed some time alone as well, and didn't fault him for that.

Trinity sighed and powered off the device before turning over in bed. She closed her eyes and said a silent prayer for hoseok, hoping that he was alright wherever he was.

And of course, saying one for herself. Hoping that things blew over soon so that she could finally be back in his arms.

One she was finished, Trinity fell deep into a much needed sleep. Her dream? One she wouldn't be able to remember once she woke up.

______

2:00 am. It was two in the morning.

Everything was silent and still. Being so used to the feeling of being held in her sleep, trinity sensed something was off.

The woman slowly sat up in bed, rubbing her eyes. She had to remind herself that she had fallen asleep alone. Hence why his arms weren't wrapped around her.

Trinity yawned as her eyes peeled open. She didn't expect to see the silhouette of a person sitting on the edge of her bed.

"What the hell?" Trinity jumped, rushing to turn on her lamp in a panic.

Once the light flickered on she calmed down. It was easy to tell who this was. Dressed in all black and even with the hoodie over his head she just knew that this was Hoseok.

But why was he here?

"H-hoseok?" She stutters, pulling her knees up to her chest as she stared at his back.

Hoseok didn't say anything. Behind the hoodie, he stared blankly at the wall. His hands together in his lap as he concentrated on the wall. He sat on the edge of the bed. He didn't think she would wake up at this time but he was mistaken.

"What are you um...doing?" Trinity asked, stumbling over her words as she tried to get them out.

Hoseok clenched his jaw before unclenching it. His mind worked leisurely. He didn't know if he should tell her that he missed her. Or if he should remain silent.

"I didn't think you would wake up." He says instead.

Trinity fluted her eyebrows. Her fingers dug into the fabric of the blanket as she held it against her body. She didn't wear much under the covers.

"I been sitting here for two hours." He admitted, never not once turning to look back at her. "Just thinking..." he said.

Two hours?! Trinity thought to herself.

"I missed you like crazy. No matter how fucked up about the situation I was..."

Trinity's heart oscillated in her chest. He missed her too?

"I missed you as well." Trinity said lightly.

She could never lie to herself and say that she didn't miss this man. When he was her life, her everything. Without him it felt as if there was no oxygen left. She couldn't breathe. She could shamelessly admit it so. He gave her life.

It went back to straight silence after that. Trinity occupied herself by picking at a loose thread in her blanket. She didn't know how to initiate conversation. If anything, she just wanted to make him climb up in bed and hold her close.

But she knew that talking was needed between them. Communication was needed to fix this...whatever this even was.

"Why did you do it?" Hoseok whispered all of the sudden.

Trinity gulped, her fingers stopping their gentle assault on the loose thread.

"Do what?" She questioned.

Hoseok chuckled dryly and bounced his shoulders. "Why did you keep something like that away from me?" He elaborates.

Truth is, trinity didn't really have an answer. Well she did. She just didn't want to open up an emotional void for him and have him in his feelings again.

He sounded so broken down and weak. She never ever knew hoseok to sound this way. He wasn't the type to let the world break him. So this was new. But it was expected. This year, he had endured so much heart break. This must've been the last straw for him. His breaking point.

"Because I didn't want to hurt you anymore than you've already been hurt." Trinity says at last.

"That was your child too, granted. But you were already going through so much. I seen the way that your father's death impacted you. Not only that, your work was once again starting to take a toll on you. Despite our argument at the time, my hospitalization obviously affected you as well. Me telling you such a thing so early on would've destroyed you..." Trinity said.

Hoseok didn't respond.

"You put up with so much." She continues, ignoring the emergence of tears in her eyes.

"I just wanted to protect you." She sums it all up, finally breaking that barrier and allowing for her tears to fall.

She couldn't protect everybody. She couldn't save everybody. And if she thought she could, then that was a very toxic trait to have.

Hoseok figured he didn't need to be protected. He could handle things on his own. He didn't need her embrace or her protection. He just needed her to stay with him throughout everything, and that would be enough to build him up after his breakdowns.

"You could've told me the minute you woke up. I don't need your protection." He said.

"Yes you do." Trinity says. "You're just as human as the next person. You have emotions too, hoseok. I'm not the only one that needs somebody in this relationship. You need me just as much as I need you."

"This hurts you...just as much as it hurts me. I'm sorry for hiding something like that from you. I'm sorry for being inconsiderate and selfish. I'm sorry for playing victim. I'm sorry for pushing you away when all you ever did was try to help me. I'm sorry for having you apologize all the time when in reality, I'm just as guilty."

"I'll do better. I promise." She says through her tears.

Hoseok stands up from his spot on the bed. Trinity flew from against the headboard and rushed towards the foot of the bed, even on her knees on the mattress he was still taller.

Trinity wrapped her arms tightly around his torso and buried her head in his stomach.

"Please don't leave." She cried. She wouldn't know what to do with herself if hoseok left. This was a very very humbling experience. Not only that, an eye opener.

"Trinity-"

"Don't leave." Trinity cuts him off. She was begging him. Like he had begged her numerous times.

"Trinity I'm not leaving." Hoseok says, placing his hands on her shoulders and pushing her away from his body.

Trinity fell back on the bed, a soft whimper leaving her lips.

Hoseok ran his hands up the extent of Trinity's legs. Once he got the the beginning of her shorts, he looked his fingers around them and slowly pulled them down her legs.

Trinity allowed for him to do so, sharing eye contact with him the entire time. Hoseok then gestured for her to sit up. Trinity sat up in bed, holding her arms up so that he could take off her shirt.

Hoseok licked over his lips as he noticed she wasn't wearing a bra. After the shirt was off of her body she now only sat before him in some panties.

He leaned in to tenderly kiss her lips. Trinity shuddered, having been missing the feeling of his lips on hers.

"I forgive you, baby." He whispered against her skin before pulling away.

Trinity felt a sea of relief wash over her body. Those four words were perfect for her ears right now. She needed that more than he would ever know.

Hoseok stood back up to his full height to begin taking his clothes off. Trinity covered her chest, not because she was ashamed. But because it was cold. And she didn't want to get under the blankets without him.

Hoseok peeled off his hoodie. Then he t-shirt. Next came his tennis shoes and socks. And lastly, his pants.

Now, they were even. The only difference is that he wore his chain.

Hoseok walked over to the side of the bed and pushed the covers back. He slid into the bed and beckoned her over with his finger, telling her to come to him.

Trinity of course obeyed. She crawled up the extent of the mattress to settle in his arms. Under the covers, they turned to a spooning position where he was behind her and his arm was around her. Her back pressed against his front, his nose buried in the back of her head.

"I could never leave you." Hoseok whispered in the darkness of the room. "Everything you said was right...I need you, baby. If not more than you need me."

How could trinity ever be so foolish to think he would leave? That was but a mere act of panic. She went into panic mode once she seen him stand. After all she had told him, she couldn't help but assume he no longer wanted to be with her.

But they were soulmates. They were made for each other. Against all odds and mistakes, they would remain right there in each other's arms.

"I missed this with you." Trinity said, interlocking their fingers under the blanket. Feeling his cold hand against her stomach.

"Me too." Hoseok says shortly after, a soft yawn escaping his lips. This was the most comfortable he had been in weeks. He longed for this.

"I've been so tired but I couldn't sleep right. Without you there it just felt wrong." Hoseok chukled, snuggling into her exposed body.

"Happy to know I wasn't the only one feeling that way." Trinity smiled. "I love you."

"I love you more." Hoseok says. He always wanted to top her.

It went silent once again. Trinity rubbed patterns into his skin with her thumb as she stared out of the window. She was sick of staring at a starless sky. She wanted to be somewhere where the stars never slept at night too.

"Hoseok?" Trinity calls out.

"Yes, baby?" He asked. The sleep was evident in his voice but if she wanted to talk they could.

"How did you get in here?"

Hoseok smirked. "I picked the lock." He said honestly. Mrs.Kim had given him a key years ago but he stupidly forgot it at the apartment. So he had picked the lock.

Hoseok was skilled at things like that. He used to break into houses with the guys just for fun but they never stole anything. They were just stupid little teenagers looking for something to get into.

Trinity shook her head. She should've known.

"You're crazy." She says. But of course, hoseok already knew that.

"Only for you."
