Her hair bounced with every step as she walked up the stairs holding a tray of arepas for Antonío. Humming a sweet song her Mother used to sing every night.
"Why hello [L/N]." Camilo came from around the corner with a smirk "Mind if I take one of these?"
She shook her head with a small smile "You can't have any they're for Antonío. He fell and scraped his knee."
The hazel-eyed boy frowned "Come on, please?" He begged, taking the tray from her hands and placing it on a small table. "Just one?"
"No Madrigal! You can't have any!" Y/n laughed as the boy grabbed her hands getting down on one knee " Chamaeleon stop messing around. Antonío is waiting."
"My dearest Y/n L/n, will you make me the happiest man alive and give me some of those arepas?" He smiled proudly "Please?"
Again Y/n shook her head "Nope!"
Camilo sighed as he stood up "Worth a shot." He lifted her right hand and placed a soft kiss onto it "Until we meet again Querida." He winked as he walked away.
Y/n's face flushed red after that sweet interaction. She quickly grabbed the tray and moved along to Antonío's room.
Dolores and Isabella stopped her before she could knock on his door. Both of the girls were grinning.
"So you and Camilo huh?" Dolores teased "We saw that little moment the two of you had! It was adorable!"
Isabella laughed "It's so obvious you like him!"
"I don't like Camilo." Y/n said trying to move past them "He's my best friend. I would never like him in that way."
The girls rolled their eyes "Okay sure..." Isabella took the tray from Y/n's hands "We'll take care of this for you."
The girl raised a brow "Thanks? I guess."
"It's so obvious they like each other."
"We have to help them get together"
"It's been so annoying watching them deny how they feel for years."

Y/n was helping Mirabel sew new dresses for the girls when casita moved the tiles under Y/n while she wasn't paying attention. When she looked up she saw that she was in an empty room.
"Wh-what? How did I? I was just with Mirabel?" She stood up trying to figure out where she was when she bumped into a figure "Ugh watch out."
"Sorry sorry." The boy backed up putting his hands in the air "Y/n? How did you get in here?"
The girl crossed her arms "I was with Mirabel helping her sew and then boom suddenly I'm in here!" She exaggerated the short story with hand movements "Where's the door? I should get back to Mirabel."
Camilo shrugged his shoulders "Hey hey don't rush to find a way out if we're stuck in here we can get out of doing chores for a while."
"I can't believe we're best friends." She sighed stepping closer to Camilo "You do have a point though." Camilo's face slowly turned red as Y/n got closer to him "Chamaeleon you're shifting." She took his face in her hands as it changed and kissed his cheek making him internally freak out but it also fixed his face for him "There!"

A few hours later Fèlix found his son pacing in front of his mirror, shifting back and forth between himself and Y/n.
"What's wrong, Mijo? You look stressed." He asked
Camilo stopped pacing and faced his Dad "It's Y/n. I don't get why I get so nervous whenever she's around me like earlier she kissed my cheek and I almost died right there! It's weird and I don't want to scare her." He sat down on his bed.
Fèlix took a seat next to his son "Sounds like you're in love with her Mijo."
"What? No! I'm not in love with her, she's my best friend!" Camilo shook his head "Just forget it it's probably just some stupid teenager thing!"

The entire family except for Camilo gathered in the kitchen.
Luisa spoke first "We all know Y/n and Camilo like each other. We've known since they first met years ago."
Dolores nodded "They keep denying their feelings for each other because they are "best friends" it's so aggravating! I can hear everything they say about each other!"
"It's so adorable walking in on Camilo when he shapeshifts into Y/n and just sits and admires her features." Pepa cooed.
"Have you ever walked in on Y/n sitting with Camilo just looking at him in awe?" Mirabel questioned.

Y/n found herself in Camilo's room, but she didn't go there herself "What the-"
"Y/n?" Camilo jumped when he saw she was in his room "What are you doing in here? I mean I don't mind it but..."
She shrugged her shoulders "I think Casita brought me here...I don't know why though." The girl walked closer to him, "You have a nice room."
He laughed, "You say that every time you come in here."
"It's just a nice room! Let me express my love for it!" Y/n flopped down onto this bed pulling him down with her "Your hair is so soft!"

"I should go, it's getting late." Y/n stood up and began walking to his door but Casita moved its tiles pulling her back to Camilo.
Camilo snickered, "Looks like Casita doesn't want you to leave me!" He grabbed her arms "Now you have to stay here with me!"
Casita swiftly moved a few tiles that pushed Y/n making Camilo catch her in his arms. Camilo's cheeks were bright red and his eyes were wide looking down at the girl. He slowly brought her back up to her feet and smiled.
"That was weird..."
"Yeah..."
This time Casita pushed Camilo into Y/n making him pin her to a wall. Y/n was a bit startled at first, her face pink.
"Uh... Chamaeleon..." She whispered "Would you mind."
He immediately backed up putting his arms behind his back.
"I'm gonna sit down now." She said nervously, her face was still pink and she was messing with her hands.
He grabbed her hand and pulled her to the window, unlocking it "Come on." He stepped out onto the roof and helped her out.
Y/n smiled "Woah Encanto is so beautiful from here..."
Camilo stared at the girl as she sat in awe. She laid her head on his shoulder and held one of his hands. His heart was racing and he didn't know why. Why did she make him feel like this? She smiled at him and he blushed. Why?
