TRINITY

Trinity's feet were aching by the time she finished her routine. The week of auditions was nothing short of stressful and she just wanted it to be over already, whether she got the part or not.

Madame Louise was not being lenient with any of the students. But Trinity felt as if the woman had it out for her the most.

Yes, Trinity was small but she wasn't exactly thin. She had the body of a majorette dancer which barely made the cut for a ballerina who was meant to be petite and dainty. So of course she got criticized for that as if she could control it.

"It looks lazy." Madame Louise said. Trinity frowned as she tried to catch her breath. She was embarrassed because she was standing in a room getting judged by her teacher with other dancers around.

She would've felt better had it just been she and Madame Louise. But this was just flat out humiliating.

"I want more out of you. I know it's in there somewhere but if you can't pull it out of yourself and I can't then how do you expect to make this part, mademoiselle?"

Trinity sighed, closing her eyes briefly before opening them.

"I'm sorry-"

"Sorry does not cut it. You either put in the work or you're out of the routine. Do you understand?" Madame Louise asked.

Trinity nodded quickly. "Yes mam." She said.

"Back in line. I'll take the next dancer."

Trinity felt all of her confidence leave her body the minute she fell back in line. This wasn't what she signed up for. She liked strict teachers that proved they cared through tough love but Madame Louise was just straight up looney and mean.

Now she get why others called her a bitch. She didn't care what came out of her mouth or who she offended.

Trinity was trying her best and it didn't work.

"Don't worry your nerves girl, you look better than majority of these dancers anyway." Tasha assured trinity, rubbing her back.

Trinity forced a smile but something told her Tasha's words weren't true.

______

Later on after class, Trinity sat in the cafe watching videos on her phone, her earbuds plugged deeply in her ears as she tried to concentrate on the dancing ballerinas on her screen.

She could never amount to them. Their movements were so sharp and their legs were so straight. Trinity was used to having more freedom in her movements when she danced. She wasn't used to dancing as if she were being pulled on a string like some puppet, so this was difficult.

Suddenly, her earbuds were yanked out of her ears.

"Asshole!" She cursed without thinking, looking up at the person who had done such a thing.

"Easy there peach, I was just poking fun." Jungkook raised his arms and walked over to take a seat across from her.

Trinity sighed. "I'm sorry but don't do that. It scared me." She said honestly.

"I apologize." Jungkook said, his tone sincere as he leaned back in his seat to get comfortable.

"What were you watching?" He asked.

Trinity narrowed her eyes. "It's none of your business."

"Oh come on, tell me." He probed. When she didn't answer, he leaned up to whisper -

"Was it porn?" He asked lowly.

Trinity gagged and mushed his face, placing her phone on the table. "No you pervert. I was watching a performance of the nutcracker." She said.

"That sounds like a porn video. But I know you're talking about ballet." He chuckled. Trinity couldn't help but smile at his silliness.

"Yeah, Madame Louise has been giving me hell. She's stricter than I thought. She constantly criticizes everything I do. And I know she's like that because she's a professional and this is a very big showcase but her behavior towards me makes me not even want to participate anymore."

"Don't beat yourself up about it. I bet you're a wonderful dancer. She's just picky because she's going through a divorce." Jungkook shrugged.

Trinity frowned. "How do you know that? Now even I know that." She said.

"How can you not tell?" Jungkook asked.

Trinity thought about it for awhile and it did start to make sense. Why else would she be so bitter all the time?

"Oh...oh right." She said. Maybe it was just some silly rumor. She didn't care to speak on it. She had had enough of speaking about Madame Louise today.

"You wanna eat with me right quick before I head off to rehearsal with Nari? I can get us some chicken wraps and muffins." Jungkook pointed towards the deli.

Trinity hadn't eaten all day. Yesterday she only at one meal. It was Wednesday and the last she ate more than once a day and it was actual food was on Sunday.

Her head was hurting and she was stressing way past the point of return. Her body ached on occasion and sometimes she felt nauseous.

But she didn't have an appetite. Still, it would be nice to try and eat something before she passed out.

"Sure." She gave in, pulling out her wallet.

"Don't sweat it. I have a food card, free food for a month." Jungkook smirked before grabbing her hand and pulling her up.

"That hurt." Trinity whimpered, quickly grabbing her phone and purse with her other hand as Jungkook dragged her towards the food.

"Sorry peach but I'm a growing boy who's hungry. I can get a little rough." He said.

"You're a grown man who turns 21 in a few weeks." She grumbled. Jungkook laughed but didn't reply, which Trinity was thankful for.

3RD PERSON

Meanwhile, out west in Los Vegas, Nevada - Sik and Hoseok entered a casino filled with drunks, gamblers and of course money.

It was funny Sik owned this place but at the same time hoseok could see why. A cigar was offered to him on a silver platter the minute he walked in, and right after that came a glass of sizzling champagne.

"This isn't so bad." Hoseok mumbled as he took a sip of champagne and held his cigar tightly.

"It's not. But we aren't here to mingle. Follow me." Sik mumbled.

Hoseok looked closely as he followed behind Sik. It was hard for them to blend in with guards on either side of them. Both the men wore expensive black suits, and Hoseok's was forced to slide some rings over his tattoos. He didn't know why but Sik told him to do so.

Hoseok felt a little off. He hadn't talked to Trinity since he left. But neither of them made any efforts to call.

He knew she was busy with school and he was busy with work. Perhaps he should call her once they made it back to the hotel?

He was missing his baby girl like crazy and couldn't wait to see her again.

Sik brought them to a room underground. They had to take steps to the bottom to reach the room. The minute they entered, a foul stench hit Hoseok's nose causing him to curse and cover his mouth with his free hand.

"Should've warned you first. My bad." Sik murmured.

"Shut up you asshole. You knew you were wrong." Hoseok hissed.

A door was pushed open for them. Hoseok followed behind Sik as they entered a room that barely had any space but it was very long and extended.

Their were stoves on either side and nothing but naked women standing in front of them. Some of them looked happy to be apart of this and others looked miserable.

Hoseok frowned. "What's going on?" He asked.

"Shh." Sik said.

Hoseok didn't say anything. They entered yet another room at the very back. It was more spacious and more colder as well. It was like a basement, but nothing else was in there besides a rope dangling from the ceiling and a man dangling from the rope by his feet.

"What the fuck?!" Hoseok yelled, removing his hand from around his mouth.

The man was turning red at the face. He did curl ups to try and catch some air but he couldn't hold himself for long.

He was an older man. He was white. He was familiar.

"This is Rogers the thief." Sik chuckled.

Hoseok opened his mouth to speak but no words came out. Just the other night he had gotten his father killed and now he stood before this man flabbergasted.

"Remember that bullshit he gave us about needing money to fix whatever issues he had between his son, his clubs or whatever the fuck was going on?"

"Yes." Hoseok said. "And if I'm remembering correctly, I told you not to give him any fucking money." Hoseok snarled.

Sik sighed and grabbed a blade from his pocket. "I should've listened. He fucked me over. He didn't need that money for anything beneficial to his son or us because guess what? I never got that protection I was promised and you had to take down Hans alone. We won't ever get that money back."

Hoseok frowned, carelessly placing the glass of champagne and the cigar on the ground before walking over to Sik.

"I wasn't fucked up about the lack of security." Hoseok said honestly.

"Well I am." Sik seethes, dragging the blade across Rogers face as the man whimpered.

Hoseok noticed he wasn't talking despite not being gagged. Hoseok looked down.

"What's wrong with the bastard?" He asked.

Sik clicked his tongue. "His tongue got cut out, a couple of teeth got pulled. I think I should just take him out of his misery."

Hoseok didn't need to see this. He felt like if he saw another killing this week or heard of another killing, he would go insane.

"Or..." hoseok suggested. "You could let him sit and die on his own. Let the blood flow to his brain and let the fucker pass out. Let his face turn every color of the rainbow and afterwards throw his body off somewhere."

"That sounds less messier but a lot less fun as well." Sik said.

Hoseok clenched his jaw. "If you kill him I can't fucking stay to watch this." He said.

Sik looked over at him, the younger already staring into his eyes.

He seen emotions after emotions flicker through Sik's eyes, but neither of them read regret. Hoseok knew his suggestion was defeated, and at the end of the day Sik was just going to do whatever the hell he wanted.

Hoseok stepped back, a look of betrayal on his face as he watched Sik turn around and drag the knife across Roger's neck.

Hoseok couldn't react much. But he felt the toll that the scene took on his body.

He couldn't handle it , but he couldn't move away from it either.

Why was Sik doing this?

______

The ride back to the hotel was a silent one. Hoseok and Sik sat in the backseat of the expensive ass limo. Hoseok stared down as Sik smoked a cigar peacefully from across him.

"Jay." Sik called out all of the sudden. Hoseok
didn't respond.

"Jay, look at me." Sik said. Hoseok slowly looked up at him.

Sik blew out some smoke, ashing the cigar before speaking.

"What's your problem? You're acting like a damn pansy."

"What's my problem? I told you I didn't want you to fucking kill that man in front of me you lunatic." Hoseok whispered roughly.

"Oh nooo, Hoseok didn't get what he wanted. Let's stop the world and cater to him." Sik said sarcastically, rolling his eyes.

"Fuck outta here. The world doesn't revolve around you, especially in this work. You can't have your fucking way and throw a temper tantrum. I'm not going to give you what you want so stop that. I'm breaking you out of that shit starting tonight." Sik gritted.

"Breaking me out of what? I'm not your damn dog so don't talk to me like one. And I'm not a kid. I'm a grown ass man who don't have to help your old ass. So I suggest you get right." Hoseok shot right back.

"You're such a drama queen. If I didn't have love for you I would've been shot you in the nuts. Oh I'm sorry, the vagina." Sik said.

Hoseok narrowed his eyes. "Do you take me as a joke? And if you did have love for me you would've respected my decision and atleast gave me a warning before you gutted that man like a fish right before my eyes."

"Why does that bother you all of a sudden? Back then you used to love shit like that. Now you hate it."

"I never loved it, I just understood that it was necessary." Hoseok mumbled.

"I just...I didn't want to see that after..." hoseok sighed. "After ..."

"After Hanseo's death. I see." Sik finished for him. Hoseok nodded to confirm.

"Let me tell you something, son. This isn't an amusement park so don't expect for you to have fun with this. But it's necessary, like you said. And Hanseo and Jeffery were both very very bad people. Granted Hanseo was your father but if you knew you would regret it then why kill him, Jay?" Sik asked.

Hoseok didn't say anything.

"You don't have an answer?" Sik egged him on.

"I....I did it because I was thinking more about others than myself. Despite all the shit he put me through, I couldn't help but think about how he stalked my loved ones and shit. I knew he was still my father at the end of the day. The only thing I wanted out of him was closure and I considered holding him here after that but then I figured what's the point? I'm sick to my stomach everytime I think about it but he didn't love me and proved that once he said he gave me everything I wanted and told me to let him go after that. He didn't love me but yet I regretted killing him. I'm confused." Hoseok said.

"I don't blame you for feeling that way because that inner child in you is still damaged and you carry those wounds til today. But one thing I can say is that it's best to keep pushing, especially since it's always something new lurking in every corner. A new enemy, a new snake, a new wolf in sheep's clothing."

"I'm not saying turn your emotions off just like that but I am saying that it's a reasoning behind everything we as men do. My drive is for my wife and my boys. You drive is for your loved ones, especially your Trinity. It's no time for regrets."

Your Trinity. Hoseok loved that that's what Sik called her.

"You're right." Hoseok said.

"We good?" Sik asked. Hoseok kissed his teeth.

"Only if I get to keep that fresh pack of cigars in my room back at the hotel." Hoseok said.

Sik rolled his eyes. "Fine." He said.

_______

"He's not answering the phone." Trinity said nervously.

"Try texting him then, honey. Maybe he's sleeping or busy. You know he's not doing okay right now. Just give him some time." Mrs.Kim says on the other line.

"But that's exactly why I'm so concerned. He's going through something and won't talk."

"Trinity he's an adult. He knows when he's ready to talk and when he isn't. You know that once he's ready he'll talk to you first. Just be patient and rest. You've had a busy week."

"I'll give him a call and let you know if he answers for me or not, okay?"

"Okay.." Trinity said softly, picking at her nails that desperately needed to be done.

"Okay. I love you, baby."

"I love you too mama. Good night." Trinity said before hanging up the phone and placing it on the bed next to her.

"Still no answer?" Yanna asked as she opened a bag of chips.

"No. I miss him so much. I hope he's alright." Trinity said.

"He's gonna be okay. Dudes like him disappear when they ain't doing too good but he loves you, he'll be ready to talk in no time."

Trinity nodded, turning her head on the pillow. She felt so sick. Mentally and physically. Her mind was just mushy and she just felt like a dead woman walking.

"You need some rest." Yanna said. Trinity hummed in agreement, closing her eyes.

The urge to throw up kept coming back up and then right back down. Luckily she had a trash can next to her just in case.

"Let me know if you need anything, okay?"

"Okay." Trinity whispered, a silent prayer for hoseok resting on her lips afterwards as she fell into a deep sleep.
