A week later
Sofia: where is Patrick Crane?
??: that's none of your business
??: why should we tell you, a tiny weak girl anything
Sofia: you shouldn't underestimate me
The two men laugh
Sofia: I would back down if I were you
??: suck it
Sofia: okay don't say I didn't warn you
She right hooks the first guy and kicks the second guy
She grabs the first guy by the collar and slams him against the wall
??: how are you so strong?
Sofia: one it's called working out and two I have super-soldier serum running through my veins
The second guy points a gun at Sofia
Sofia: I wouldn't do that
She grabs the gun and snaps it in half
She kicks the guy sending him flying
??: please don't hurt me
Sofia: I warned you
She snaps the first guy's right arm and kicks him to the floor
Sofia: stay down if you still want to walk
She makes her way inside the building. She kicks down the door To Patrick crane's office
Sofia: Patrick crane, lovely to see you again
All of his security guards point their guns at Sofia
Patrick: stand down
Sofia: I've come to collect your payment
Patrick: of course
He pulls out a bag of money and sets it on the desk
Patrick: that should cover my payment for this month and next month
Sofia opens the bag and looks at the stacks of money
Sofia: great. I'll take this to the power broker and you should be all set
All of a sudden she feels the muzzle of a gun against her head
Patrick: you're not going anywhere
Sofia sighs
Sofia: you really want to do this
Patrick: why should I listen to the power broker
Sofia: because they are the only person keeping you alive
Patrick: who cares, kill her
Sofia: you are going to regret that
She elbows the guy holding the gun to her head causing him to drop it
She picks up the gun and shoots most of the people in there. She drops the gun because it ran out of ammo
A person comes up from behind and stabs her arm
Sofia: Fuck
She goes to punch the person with the knife but the person dodges her punch
The person cuts Sofia's face with the knife
Sofia swipes the person's feet and they go falling to the floor. She breaks their neck and makes her way back to Crane. She pulls out a gun and points it at him
Patrick: the power broker picked a good one
Sofia: I'm their right-hand person, top worker. If you mess with the power broker I come after you.
She picks up the bag of money
Sofia: I'll let you go with a warning. Next time this happens you'll end up like your workers
Patrick: noted
Sofia makes her way out out of the building and back to the building where everyone who works for the power broker work from
Sofia enters the building and makes her way to Sharon's office
She puts the bag of money in the safe
Sharon: babe, is that you?
Sofia; yeah, it's me, baby
She walks out of the safe and shuts it
She turns around and sees Sharon leaning against her desk
Sharon: what happened?
She walks over to Sofia and she places a hand on Sofia's cheek
Sofia: someone got me with a knife during the mission, I'm fine though
Sharon: no, that can get infected
Sofia: baby I'm fine
Sharon: no you are not
She sits Sofia on her desk
Sharon walks over to a cabinet and grabs a rag and butterfly bandages. she wets the cloth and walks back over to Sofia
it was always funny to see how Sharon acted so tough and fearless because she is the power broker but when she is around Sofia, all those walls disappear. whenever Sofia was around, she turned Sharon, the feared power broker soft
Sharon: hold still
She dabs the damp cloth on Sofia's cut
When the cloth makes contact with Sofia's cut, she hisses in pain
Sofia: that burns!
Sharon: I need to clean it
Sharon tries to clean Sofia's wound but Sofia grabs Sharon's wrist
Sharon: babe
Sofia: no, please
Sharon: babe I don't want it to get infected. Just because you have the serum running through your body doesn't mean that you cant get hurt
Sofia sighs
Sofia: fine
She lets go of Sharon's wrist and Sharon continuous to clean the cut
After Sharon bounds the cut with butterfly bandages
Sharon: there
Sofia: thank you, baby
Sharon kisses Sofia's cheek
Sharon: other than that how did the mission go
Sofia: they tried killing me but I got to them first
Sharon chuckles
Sharon: that's my girl, my right-hand person
Months have passed
Sharon and Sofia were laying in bed
Sofia was resting her head on Sharon's chest while Sharon was running her fingers through Sofia's dark hair
Sofia: I've missed this, our time together just the two of us
Sharon: so do i
Sharon kisses the top of Sofia's head
All of a sudden Sharon's phone rings
Sharon groans
She picks up her phone and answers it
Sharon: what do you want!
Sam: hello to you Sharon
Sharon's eyes widen
Sharon: sam, it's so nice to hear from you
Sofia perks up when she hears the name sam
Sharon puts the call on speaker
Sharon: why are you calling
Sam: where are you?
Sharon: at my place in madripoor, why
Sam: you're allowed to stay in the states again and you choose madripoor
Sharon: what can I say, I prefer the life of danger
Sam: Well, I found out some more information about the power broker
Sharon: w-what did you find?
Sam: he's located in uptown madripoor, he's planning something big, and we need your help
Sharon: when will you get here?
Sam: tomorrow
Sharon: meet me at my place around 3
Sam: you got it, see you soon
Sharon hands up and digs her face into her hands
Sofia: there goes out week to ourselves
Sharon: I'm sorry babe
Sofia: it's fine baby. Don't worry about it
Sharon: do you want to deal with the new spangled pants and old man?
Sofia: of course, sounds fun
They both smile
The following day
Sam: we've located the power broker here
Sharon: I'll stay out here while you both go in and find him
Sam and bucky nod
They make their way into the large abandoned building
Sam: see anything
bucky: nope
The stand in the middle of the building
Sofia walks out of the shadows
Sofia: well well well, look who it is. It's pigeon boy and cyborg
She laughs
Sam: Who are you?
Sofia: someone the power broker sent
She jumps down so she is now on the same level with Bucky and Sam
Bucky: where is the power broker?
Sofia: no idea
Sam: tell us
Sofia: sorry boys but I can't
Sofia fights sam
She was beating him for a while but then she slips up causing sam to get hold of the upper hand. He slams Sofia against the wall. sam goes to punch Sofia but she knees him and kicks him to the ground
Sam gets up
Sofia goes to punch him but Sam flies out of the way leaving Sofia to punch the wall, a huge hole is now in the wall
Sam: Bucky she's a super-soldier!
Out of nowhere, bucky grabs Sofia and slams her against the wall, Sofia is unable to move
Sofia: tries punching him but his metal arm was holding down her dominant hand
He punches her then moves his metal hand around her neck squeezing it, taking the breath out of Sofia's lungs
bucky: how the hell did you get that serum!
Sofia; like I'm going to tell you shit
she spits out which makes bucky tighten his grip around her neck
Sharon: let her go bucky
Bucky turns to see Sharon pointing a gun at bucky
Sam: Sharon what the hell are you doing
Sharon: I said let her go bucky!
Bucky drops Sofia to the ground, she was gasping for air
Sharon rushes over to Sofia and places a hand on her cheek
Sharon: Are you okay?
Sofia nods
Bucky: Sharon what the hell are you doing, she's working with the power broker
Sam: Why are you saving her ass?
Sharon clenches the gun tightly
She points the gun at the two men and shoots at them
Bucky uses his metal arm to deflect the bullet
Sam: Sharon what the hell!
Sharon: you two are lucky I let you even step foot here in madripoor!
bucky: what?
10 people, both men, and women enter the building
Sam: she's the power broker
Sharon: you two left me behind, and I had to fight to keep myself alive. It's one thing to walk into my city but its another thing to try and kill my girlfriend
Sam and bucky: what?
Sharon: get them
10 people start walking over to sam and bucky getting ready to fight them
Sofia: baby, we need to get out of here
They look at sam and bucky
Sharon: you're right, how
Sofia looks out the window
Sharon: no
Sofia: there's no other way
She wraps her arms around Sharon and run towards the window, crashing through the window and down two stories
Sofia lands on a van, Sharon on top of her
Sharon: Are you okay?
Sofia: I'm good, let's go
They get off and Sharon hotwires a bike
Sharon: come on
They escape
As they are escaping Bucky and sam catch up to them
Bucky: stop running Sharon!
Sharon: do you have it?
She asks her girlfriend
Sofia: yes I do
Sharon: on the count of three. jump
On three they jump off the bike
Sam and Bucky catch up to them
Sharon is standing in front of Sofia both of their backs turned away from the two avengers
Sam: what the hell was that about Sharon
They turn around and Sofia blows a powder into the two avengers face
Sofia: let's go
Sofia and Sharon take off running
Sharon: let's head back to the house
Sofia: right
Sharon: so how much will they remember?
Sofia: the will remember fighting me but nothing past that
Sharon: so they won't remember me saving you and admitting I'm the power broker
Sofia: nope
Once they get back to the house
Sharon walks over and collapses onto the couch
Sharon: I'm exhausted, we ran 4 miles without stopping
Sofia walks over to the cart with alcohol and pours whiskey into two glasses
She walks over and hands a glass to Sharon
Sharon: thanks babe
She takes a sip of the golden brown liquor
Sharon: you're not tired?
Sofia shakes her head
Sofia: The serum remember. It allows me to hang in there for a lot longer
Sharon: right I forgot
Sofia sits down next to Sharon and lays her on Sharon's shoulder
Sharon: when I walked in and saw Bucky's metal hand wrapped around your throat and you struggling to breathe I was scared. I was scared I was going to lose you, babe.
Sofia: baby, I'm fine. I may have some bruising around my neck but it will heal quickly because of the serum
She gives Sharon a quick kiss
Sharon: can you show me your cuts and bruises
Sofia: What are you talking about?
Sharon: babe, I know you are hurt. Don't lie
Sofia sighs
Sharon: let me grab the first aid kit
She grabs the first aid kit
Sharon: take off your shirt so I can see
Sofia takes her shirt off leaving her in her sports bra
Sharon: shit
Sofia: what?
Sharon: that's a huge bruise along your abdomen and ribs
She gently brushes her fingers over it and Sofia winces in pain
Sharon: sorry
Sharon walks to the kitchen and grand an ice pack
Sharon: here
She places the icepack on the large bruise
Sharon: that should help
Sofia: thanks baby
Sharon: I promise you we will get them sooner or later, they'll pay for what they've done
Sofia nods and Sharon kisses her
Sharon: I think the power broker needs a new face, at least one that the public will see
