"Granger.." Draco sighed
"Malfoy." Hermione nods
"You can't walk off like that." Draco said
"What am I? A child?" She laughs
"You're acting like one." Draco said
"Oh come on, Ron and Harry hate me, I'm being used for the war, my best friend is dead so I don't need you coming for me too" She laughs
"I'm being serious." Draco scoffed
"So am I. They can hate me all they like and I can deal with that but you- not you" Hermione sighed
"You're leaving me anyway though right?" He said
Ouch.
"I have a plan. You deserve better anyways, not someone who loves books and has a coffee shop" She smiles
"But I do. I want someone to call me out on my bullshit, reads shit ton of useless books AND owns a coffee shop.. I want that Granger" Draco sighed
"You want someone else." She said
"Don't put words in my mouth. I want you not anyone else." He sighed
Draco could get lost in her eyes, the brown in her eyes were gorgeous.
"Starring is rude you know." She smiles
"I've been told, I can't help it when you have such pretty eyes" Draco grinned
Hermione went bright red
"Got you! Let's go" Draco smirks pulling Hermione gently
They begin to walk again and eventually apparate back to Hogwarts, it was swarming with panicking people, Hermione went into nurse mode immediately and ran to where people were going.
"Oh no you don't" Draco groaned struggling to pull her back
"Draco-"
"Oh! Look who finally decided to show up! Get your ass to the medical ward!" Harry hissed
"Don't talk to her like that!" Draco scoffed
"Not now! What's happened?" She asks
"Ron got splinched! He's dying" Harry said
Hermione's eyes went wide and for the first time she second guessed herself, did she want to save him? No. Did she want to forgive him, help him? No. Did Hermione want to walk away? ...yes
She began to walk away in the opposite direction, Draco was grinning looking proud that she's taking control for once.
"Fuck!" She shouts
Hermione turns back around and runs to the medical ward, pushing through people to get to Ron. He's been left a while because he was blue... fucking blue.
She put her hand out and called out for a bottle of dittany. It came to her hand and she didn't bother with the top and poured the entire bottle on his chest and he screamed in pain, she didn't care if it hurt.
"Oh I'm sorry does that sting?" She winced sarcastically
"Argh fuck!" Ron cried
"Fucking baby.." Draco mumbled
"Shut up." Harry snapped
Ron's skin started to get better, his skin growing in colour and he rolls over the side of the bed puking his guts up. Hermione stands there for a moment before walking away.
"He's fine." She said
"Fine? None of this would have happened if you were here!" Harry shouted
"Woopty fucking doo, find ways of winning without relying on a lady!" Hermione hissed
"You're no lady" Harry said
"And you're no man...yet here we are" Hermione snapped
An array of ooo's came from Draco, she bit back her smile.
"Get fucked Pottah" Draco whispered following Hermione out
Hermione linked hands with Draco and they walked down the hall quietly giggling, Harry runs after them. Hermione began to run and Draco followed, they were in fits of laughter.
"STOP RUNNING HERMIONE!" Harry panted
"Fuck you!" Hermione laughed
They ran and ran, finding a part of the castle they recognised. The dusty walls and cracked stone just showed the neglect the castle was enduring during these times.
"Oh look!" Hermione gasped
Draco looked her way and found initials carved into the wall

"That was fun, it was the only time you were nice to me in school" She laughs
"It was, I regretted this afterwards... people would think we're in love" Draco laughs
"Are we not?" Hermione giggles
"Well miss Granger, it's past curfew and you should be asleep. Would you like me to escort you?" Draco smirks
The last time they were up here was third year, Hermione couldn't bare to sleep so she came up here and found Draco, she threatened to tell on him but they both knew she wouldn't.
"Oh my god! Not again, I did not sound like that!" She sighs
"You did!" Draco laughs
"Oh shut up" She smiles
"I."
"Love."
"You." Draco smirks kissing her softly
"I love you too, can I have a reward for almost killing Ron today?" Hermione pouts
"A reward? Fuck off" Draco smirks
"Pretty please, I'll let you stay up past curfew.." Hermione smiles
"I eat you out and then I fuck you into oblivion or you go to fucking sleep" Draco said firmly
"But-"
Draco shook his head
"Take it or leave it" He grinned
"First option?" She smiles
Draco bit his lip and picked Hermione up by her arms and her legs around his waist. Draco kissed down Hermione's neck his fingers travelling down her stomach, whimpers escape Hermione instantly.
"Quiet love-"
The window and wall beside them crash and fall apart blasting pieces of stone straight at them, stone falls all around them and a piece hits Hermione and she feels her vision start to go black, the ringing in her ears muffle Draco's calls for help.
She wanted to go to sleep, if she never woke up then she'd be okay with that.
"Granger keep your eyes open! I-" Draco's shouts are muffled
"Hello you"
"No it isn't possible" Draco gasped
"Oh it's possible"
"Potter saw you die!" Draco shouted
"He doesn't see everything! Now come"
"No." Draco replied
"Come or she comes with me"
"No- I'll go just don't touch her!" Draco said
"Sorry the dark lords orders"
"Please." Draco begged
"It's you or her, you go you die"
"I'll die." Draco said stumbling as he got up
Hermione's vision grew clearer and the ringing began to stop
"Don't-" Hermione tried to speak
"How you've grown Mr Malfoy, loving Miss Granger here. Does Astoria know?"
"She's..dead" Draco whispered
"Let's go."
"Draco stop-" Hermione coughs as the dust enters her lungs with every breath she takes
"I am begging you" Draco pleads
"I cannot go empty handed!"
"Then stay! I thought you were dead- please let me go" Draco said
"I can't, they'll hurt your mother"
"I can't breathe-" Hermione coughed choking on the air
"Are you insane? Look at her!" Draco shouts
Draco goes by her side and Hermione knows she isn't going to die but she's going to pass out.
"Hermione? No don't fall asleep, love please" Draco pleaded
Hermione's out leaving Draco and the man in front of him, he's changed and isn't what Draco once knew. He's colder, looks ill.
"Draco you listen to me, they'll hurt your mother and i cannot allow that-"
"Then don't."
"Time turner's avenue." The man spoke
Voices are heard on the mans side of the wall, panic rips through Draco, the man points his wand at him.
"Avada Kadavra" He whispered whooshing his black cloak away
"They aren't here." He shouts
