Ahsoka's pov

"Padmè you asked me to tell you when Clovis left: well, he's left." I said after having sought out the senator and my master's child. She was rocking the baby with a wine glass of juice in her free hand. The woman looked up and smiled as I arrived with the good news, her smile growing to a beaming grin.

"Thank you Ahsoka: you're going home now aren't you? Would you like to take Ari with you?" She asked placing her glass to the side. I couldn't help but roll my eyes slightly, if she wanted to have some fun it wasn't like she had to worry about me. I was fine sitting around dining on all the snacks and stuff still being served. It was super good food.

"Sure I can take care of Ari for you: but you don't need to hide it if you'd like a drink," I replied reaching out for her to place the baby in my arms. Padmè smiled and said a sweet little farewell to the little girl before passing her over to me. Looking down at the little girl I smiled a rare smile. She was so innocent and pure just like Ari, and so loved too. "Hey there little one, I'm going to take you home now so auntie Padmè can have a dance and a drink." I chuckled softly rocking the little girl in my arms gently. It just came natural to do so.

"Ahsoka," the senator spoke up again, placing a hand on my shoulder as she stood up and the skirts of her dress fell down to the floor. I looked back over my shoulder to her and gave a hum to show I was listening. "Thank you sweetheart: you've done an amazing job today, oh and keep the dress, you look beautiful." She added giving me a little hug and giving a parental kiss to my temple. She truly was the kindest woman, well second to (y/n).

"Thanks Padme, and I do really love the dress, I'll keep it forever." I replied giving her a smile and a wave goodbye. Holding little Ari I continued to hum the tune of the music even as we headed out onto the darkened steps of the hall. I hadn't realised until now how late it had gotten, the skies were already dark even though it felt like no time at all had past. Making sure Ari was wrapped up nice and warm I headed down to one of the taxi's, deciding to get a lift back since I had Ari with me and so shouldn't really be driving alone.

A few minutes later the both of us arrived at the apartment block. I payed the driver and then headed inside, fishing around my pocket for the key while still humming, keeping Ari in my arms despite having the carrier. When the door clicked open I used my foot to push it open and hook the keychain between my teeth so I could hold everything while entering the apartment. I knew Anakin and (y/n) would be gone likely all night possibly longer so I'd decided to sneak home a good amount of food from party to eat during the night.

Heading to the nursery I flicked the lights on and lay little Ari in her crib, using the force to spin her little mobile of starships and watching as the one made to look like Ari's flew by. I missed her so much, all the time. Sitting on the floor by her bed I began to unpack the bags I'd brought back, and I began to realise just how quiet it was. The whole place felt lonely, master Skywalker, and well...the other Master Skywalker were gone, everyone else was partying, I was alone.

Ari gurgled as if to say that I wasn't alone and I couldn't help but giggle.

"Thanks baby: you really do know how to brighten a room." I spoke up a little quietly while holding my hand out for the girl to grasp. Her little fingers wrapped around my pinky and gave it a little tug. Just from the slight touch I could feel she was very strong with the force, not surprising really considering who her parents where.

"You're going to be an incredible Jedi someday little one." I whispered brushing my fingers through her little curls.

"That she will be." A voice spoke from the doorway and I immediately jumping to my feet pulling my lightsabers from their concealed holsters and igniting them. The room was washed with a green glow from the blades but surprisingly Ari didn't start crying. Looking to the doorway I saw a fairly tall silhouette leant in the frame.

"Who are you? Want do you want?" I asked keeping my stance firmly defensive and perhaps a little aggressive, I get that from my master I guess. The figure moved and reached up, gasping a a hood before dropping it down. I lowered my blades and stood a little taller when I saw their face. Pale skin, white hair, this was Ari's friend from before.

"Damien..?" I questioned not wanting to let my guard down just yet. The young man flicked the lights on so I could see him better I presume and took a step inside with his hands raised. This was someone Ari had cared dearly for so I didn't want to cause any kind of scene - not to mention it would scare the baby.

"Easy lady Ahsoka: I merely wish to talk," He spoke with a level of formality I'd never grow used to. Easing up my grip I lowered my blades and even switched one off. He tilted his head and gave me a little frown I didn't understand. "..,you didn't read her letter did you?" He asked out the blue, catching me by surprise as I thought hard on what he meant.

What letter was there for me to read? I couldn't recall any, who sends letters anyway, it's 20 BBY, we have the holonet. He had to be referring to something else, something I've forgotten.

"The letter from Ari...you didn't read it did you," he added clarifying what was meant. I dropped my unignited blade to the floor and switching the other off as I realised what he meant. That letter, the one I couldn't bring myself to read. "...I know it's hard, but you really must read it...there's...a lot in there." He added as he took another slow step towards me. I however was no longer looking his way and instead down at the floor.

"...no I didn't read it...I don't want to..." I replied with all the honesty left in my heart. That letter hadn't moved from the day I placed it in my bedroom cabinet, it was still there with the powered down little droid she'd built for me. There was no way I could stand looking at either of those items knowing she made them for me fully aware she was about to die...

"Lady Ahsoka...I understand this is hard, but you simply must read the letter." Damien spoke as he knelt down before me then sat fully on the floor right there before me. Looking up I swept a rear I hadn't realised I'd shed from my eye and took a deep breath.

"I can't...that letter holds her last words...I can't bare to read those..." I admitted with a heavy pain in my heart. Loosening Ari was the worst thing I'd ever been through, she was so important to me and now she was gone...

"Ahsoka..." Damien spoke again while taking my hand and steadying it as if trembled. Looking up I met his eyes and saw something else within them, something I'd seen in Ari's before. "...for the future of our galaxy, you need to read that letter."

That look in his eyes, it was the same one I'd seen in Ari's before she died...

He'd seen a glimpse of the future, there was no other explanation for that look he held...

(Y/n)'s pov

"Oh my gods Anakin that was..." I trailed not having the words to describe the bliss I felt as I lay there beside him catching my breath. His arm wrapped around my waist he pulled me in a a bit closer to his chest and kissed the top of my head lovingly. This man, this incredible man, it was hard to believe I now had the fortune of calling him my husband.

"I know my Angel, I'm amazing," he chuckled in response to which I gave him a playful elbow to the ribs and pressed my lips into a pout. He mocked up a look of shock in response and feigned a response of pain to which I rolled my eyes. "Okay alright: you're amazing my love." He added on to his previous response while leaning down and kissing from my earlobe to my jaw, his lips like as a feather against my skin,

"Anakin," I piped up while staring at the ceiling in utter contentment. He hummed showing I had his attention even while his lips continued to scatter my jaw with kisses. "When do you think this war will be over? Count Dooku says there's a power above him...so surely the war will continue until they're discovered don't you think?" I questioned, flicking my gaze to the side to watch him for a reaction.

"Do we really have to talk about the war my love? It's our wedding night can't we just have fun?" He questioned in response with a sigh, pressing a kiss to the corner of my lips and gazing lovingly into my eyes. My heart ached a little, wishing I could just tell him already that Palpatine was the traitor. But of course he'd deny it to no end.

"Humour me...we know there's a traitor thanks to Ari's letter, we know they control the senate...who do you propose it could be?" I asked hoping he'd connect the cots on his own so I wouldn't be the bad guy for telling him. The chancellor was already far too suspicious of me, I'm sure if I accused him of being the traitor now he'd already have some plan to take me down. But if Anakin could see reason, if his favourite Jedi turned him in I'm sure he'd be caught off guard, he'd have to be.

"...I don't know it would have to be someone high up, someone with a decent amount of control..." He pondered brows furrowed in thought, in my own mind I was silently pleading he'd see the truth, he was so close just a last push and he'd be there. "...it has to be one of the Chancellors advisors, no way they'd keep control otherwise."

I sighed in defeat and closed my eyes trying to resist the urge to scream at my husband for being so blind.

"Maybe I should become the chancellors guards; that way I'd have a better chance of finding the culprit and ending this was.." he suggested at which point I'd completely lost faith he'd ever figure it out on his own. Placing a hand on his chest I rolled on my side and looked up into his blissfully unaware eyes.

"Then who'd protect me? I need my big handsome husband around y'know," I pined not wishing for him to take that route but also trying to expressing my urge to call him an idiot without being mean. It wasn't Anakins fault he'd grown to trust the wrong person. He grinned a bit and embraced me as I placed a peck on his lips. "You'll protect from the scary Sith Lord won't you General Skywalker?" I questioned with a little chuckle, running my fingers through his soft hair.

"Of course I will, Mrs Skywalker." He replied with a smirk, leaning up and closing the gap between our lips. He then pressed his lips to mine and I responded fast, pulling my fingers up threw his hair as he sat up and cradled my body close, close enough I could feel the heat from his chest. He placed a hand to the back of my head and deepened the kiss, angling his head for better access against my lips.

When we were both done Anakin pulled back but kept his forehead pressed to mine, holding me just like he always would when I most needed comfort. I'm not sure how he did it but he always seemed to know when I needed him most. Maybe it was through the force or perhaps he just knew me that well but he was always there when I needed him.

Always...

"Angel...I can't wait to spend the feast of my life with you: ever since we met in that dream...I've known you were the only one," his words were soft and meaningful enough to make me feel lighter than air. Sitting there I looked up and right into his beautiful blue eyes that reflected the sky so perfectly knowing that I of course felt the same. "You Ahsoka, Ari and I, we're going to have a wonderful, peaceful life..." he continued on to say,  leaning back and again hugging me against his chest as I lay there and listened to the dream he was describing for me. "...we could get a little place in the lake country on Naboo: Ari could have a nursery overlooking the beach just across from our room, and of course Ahsoka could have a place next door to hers, the four of us could be one complete family just living our our dreams. We could go on picnics, and do all the things regular people take for granted, it'll be our life to live rather than one dictated to us by the order, doesn't that sounds wonderful Angel?" He hummed as he stroked his hand gently through my hair. I couldn't help but smile at the image he placed in my mind, it sounded absolutely perfect.

"That sounds like a wonderful idea my love..." I murmured in response as I looped my arms back behind his head. Kissing the tip of his nose. To be jedi may have been our joint precious dream, but now I just wanted to live a peaceful life with the man I love. To enjoy the future we'd have with our darling little girl, a future of nothing but peace. I'd make sure of that...

A thought then struck me and I chuckled a little pinching my husbands cheeks.

"But Anakin: what shall we do about all the sand at the beach?" I chuckled knowing how much he hated sand, it was most of what he went on about after all. Anakin gave a little laugh, the kind I loved to hear, his eyes sparkling with adoration as he rubbed my shoulder and continued to laugh softly shaking his head in a way that made the soft curls of his hair bounce lightly.

"Oh but you forget love: the sands on Naboo are soft and not at all irritating.,,true they may prove a nuisance when collected in the corners of our house, however I'm sure with a little help from the force we'll be able to keep the place clean and tidy." He replied nuzzling against my neck and kissing at my jaw. This time I chuckled slightly and with my fingers nestled at the back of his head, ruffling his hair playfully.

"And this is precisely why I love you." I replied giving his nose a little poke. He sat up a bit against the headboard still holding me by my waist with my skin flush against his.

"You love that I know how to keep sand out the house?" He questioned a little jokingly while gently tucking my hair back behind my ear. I laughed and shook my head pushing his chest a little it dismissal.

"No..." I replied tracing my thumb across his cheekbone and faxing into his eyes. "I love how cute you can be when speaking of the future." I added with a soft smile, watching his gaze soften more and his smile lift from my words. He is half of my heart; we bare each other's pain and feel the joy of each others happiness, somehow we shared a presence in the force, bound in its majesty.

"I see...so I'm cute? Well what does that make you Angel?" He asked as be again ran his fingers through my hair seeming to insinuate that I was cuter. This was to be expected tho of course since Anakin had always thought me cute, even on the battlefield somehow.I laughed in response and patted his cheek twice.

"Well I'm adorable me of course." I replied to which he laughed and hugged me again, embracing me tightly, kissing the top of my head with love and affection. We both laughed while cuddling enjoying this lovely moment together. Now we we're publicly married it wasn't even like we had to worry about being caught, we had the freedom to just be ourselves.

After cuddling a little longer there was a knock at the door. Anakin groaned and went to open it grumbling about how everyone had promised fo leave us alone for the weekend. Unfortunately it seemed we couldn't even go a few hours without being needed. It was currently two am so whatever this news was, well we could assume it had fo be important.

"Anakin I am sorry to disturb you." I heard the voice of Obi wan saying as I wrapped myself in a light robe and proceeded down the stairs. On my decent I saw my husband wrapped up in his cloak stood with Obi wan who was still wearing his suit from the wedding. Kenobi looked worried, greatly concerned by something he was likely coming to discuss with us.

"No offence to you master but this really better be important." Anakin replied with a little mild annoyance. Though both Obi wan and I could tell he wasn't annoyed at his master but feather just eager to get back to cuddling and such. As I walked over Obi wan shuffled his feet and ran his fingers through his hair.

"It's Satine...her people have been taken hostage by death watch: they're threatening violence if she doesn't turn herself over..." Obi wan explained and my heart sank for him. This was supposed to be a joyous time for him also, but now, now once again war had gripped ahold of our lives...

We would have to fight again: this time as husband and wife, and this time, this time we will put an end to the war once and for all...

I swear it...
