Chapter 6- Back Together And We're Now Convicts

Ever since you got back to the Gaang, let's just say, they got clingy. And never let you go off anywhere without supervision. As much as you love them and love the affection, it's starting to feel like you're back at the royal family, which doesn't make you feel better.

Not only you don't get to be alone by the Gaang, you were never left alone by others trying to get you. Cuddled up around Twig and the colony, you and the Gaang slept soundly near a watering hole, peaceful and quiet until Toph sat up in a panic.

"Guys, you're all gonna think I'm crazy, but it feels like a metal man is coming," She told everyone, making you groggily wake up and run your eyes.
"What?..." You mumbled as a beam of light hit's Aang's eyes, which you followed the source, only to see a bearded man with a metal arm, and what seemed to be a third eye on his forehead.

Everyone got ready to fight, but Aang quickly made a huge gust of wind to block what you didn't expect.
The man made an explosion out of nowhere and impacted the air wall, which caused you all to get hit with a wave of dust. Toph quickly got back on her feet and sent pillars of rock his way, but the man made another explosion.

You and Katara sent ice beams and lava, but the man also sent an explosion and caused the lava to barely hit you all. It caused mist to cover the watering hole, and you pulled the chains on Lady.
"Run Lady! You have to head back to Sun, promise me that you'll be safe," You told Lady, and the Ostrich Horse obeyed, sneaking away from the man and running off.

You all hide behind rocks as the man kept on exploding things.
"This is crazy! How can we beat a guy who blows things up with his mind?!" Sokka yelled out.
"We can't! Jump on Appa! I'll try to distract him!" You all got onto Appa as Aang flew off to keep the man busy.

You comforted the colony as Aang eventually got on the saddle, where you hugged him tightly.
"I'm okay," He mumbled.
"Well, that was random," Toph shrugged, but Katara shook her head.
"I don't think so. I get the feeling he knows who we are," She told you all, and you looked down to see the man disappearing from sight, and you thought for a moment.

'By any chance, someone could've sent him... he wouldn't...'

Twig laid on your lap as the colony took rest on Appa, with Momo's tail wrapped around a baby Tiger Monkey. Aang was training to master his elements as you were trying to figure out your lava bending.

"The scroll said that the lava monster form will only happen when you let yourself to forgive and accept, but back at Ba Sing Se I didn't do any of that," You mumbled while shivering at those memories.
"I felt anger, and guilt, and shame. But why?" You sighed and petted Twig's head, who cooed and nuzzled his head against you.

"And visiting Roku's island didn't help at all. All of those houses, Avatar Roku, all were covered in ash, all covered in lava," You told him, and you felt sick a little.
'Lava caused Roku's death... just like-' You shook your head at that thought, not wanting to make parallel memories.

'I don't want that to happen again, a death caused by me,' Your thoughts were interrupted by shouting.
"Maybe you should take your own advice, Toph!" Katara glared at Toph, who raised an eyebrow.
"What's the matter? Can't handle a little dirt, Madame Fussy-Britches?" Toph smirked, which made snort at those words.

"Oh, sorry. Did I splash you, Mud-Slug?" Katara snickered as she went a wave of water towards Toph. The two then charged at each other, which made Aang, who was blindfolded, look around in confusion.

"Sneak attack!!" Sokka then shouted as he charged at the monk, who without even looking, blocked Sokka with a rock pillar.
"Sokka, sneak attacks don't work if you yell it out loud," Aang told him, but your attention was turned to Katara and Toph, who were still fighting.

"Hungry for a mud pie?" Toph said as she kicked mud in Katara's eyes.
"I'll give you a mud pie!" Katara sent a mud ball back, and Toph knocked her down. They were about to fight again, until you coughed, which made them stop.

"I thought y'all were supposed to be training air boy," You pointed as Aang, who awkwardly stood there.
"Very well, pupil. I believe we've had enough training for today," Katara huffed and walked away while you walked over and gave her a small smile.

"Don't fret Water girl, it's just elements clashing against each other. Things will go fine," You told her, and gave her a small peck on the cheeks.
"Thank you (Y/N)," She smiled back and walked off to wash her hair.
"While Katara cleans up, let's go have some fun!" Toph grinned at you, Aang, and Sokka.

"I'm game,"

Although you felt felt saddened that Twig couldn't come with, but you held onto Sokka's sleeve while you four walked around the fire town.
"Look at all those messenger hawks! You know, I've been thinking about getting one for myself. That way, I wouldn't have to talk to anyone. I could just send them messages," Sokka smiled as you walked passed by a mailing building.

"I gotta say, I like the idea of not talking to you," Toph smirked, and you snickered at Sokka's expression.
"So, guys. What are we gonna get with our last silver piece?" Aang asked as he held up his coin piece.
"We can get more money," Toph suggested, while pointing at a small river bank with people at a small stand.

"Hey, I how to play this! You switch the bowls around and people try to find where the pebble is! And this is where you seeing people are at a disadvantage. Everyone guesses wrong because the dealer moves the rock at the last minute," You explained while motioned to the dealer.

"How'd you know?" Sokka asked you, making you give a mischievous grin.
"Twig and I were convicts together, made money by doing what the man did, good old' ripe age of 11," You sighed at the memories.

You four walked down the bank and watched on, acting like you're just looking around, and the man eyes Toph, noting she's blind.
"You there. Wanna play a friendly game?" The dealer asked her.
"How can I possibly play? I'm blind," Toph asked with fake innocence.

"You don't have to see to be lucky," The dealer grinned and Toph faked on finding the bowls, and placed the silver piece down. The man started to do his magic, and you noticed he placed two pebbles in the bowls. Toph picked a bowl and the dealer lifted to reveal the pebble.

"Wow, fancy guessing. You are amazing at this. Would you like to make the game a little more interesting?" The man smirked.
"More interesting? How?" Toph tilted her head.
"Well, let's say you toss in your friend's fine sword there, then I'll put up twenty silver pieces against it, and that's more interesting," The mean eyed Sokka's sword, and Toph immediately swiped it and placed it on the table.

"I'll do it for forty silver pieces," Toph grinned as Sokka's jaw dropped, making you pat his shoulder for comfort.
"Forty silver pieces it is," The dealer smirked and shifted the bowls around fast, and you saw that Toph pulled back a pebble as the dealer pushed all away.

The man stopped and Toph pointed at the middle bowl, which made the dealer shrug in fake sadness.
"Sorry, little lady, but-" He froze as the pebble was right there.
"I won!" You all cheered and ran off, laughing at you bough so much stuff.

'Just like the good old times,'
