Lisa Pov
I'm currently standing in front of our first class room with Seulgi standing beside me and looking at me like I've grown two heads.
"What's wrong with you?" she asked me while eating her sandwich.
"I'm nervous." I replied, which made her raise an eyebrow.
"Why?"
"I don't know." I lied. I told them some parts of what happened at the locker room, but I didn't tell them that Jennie hugged me.
"You are weird, monkey." She shook her head, and she went inside, leaving me here alone.
"Yeah, I'm being weird." I breathed first and composed myself before I went inside.
When I closed the door, I immediately saw Jennie Kim sitting beside my usual seat. We had eye contact but I immediately looked away. I think I saw her face lighten up when we made eye contact, which I found weird.
I sat in front of Seulgi. I felt uncomfortable sitting beside Jennie because the back hug kept repeating inside my head.
"Yah! Monkey, why are you sitting there? "
What should I say to this bear?
"I'm not wearing my contact lenses today, so I chose to sit here." I replied and she nodded in understanding.
You are a very good reasoner. Is that word even exist? I'm not sure what the important thing is that I was able to reason out.
"Did you bring your eyeglasses?" I nodded and I took it out of my bag.
Fortunately, my contact lenses are black, or else I might be caught lying. Going to sound like I'm avoiding sitting beside Jennie.
I put on my eye glasses and brought out a book that I borrowed from the library. It is a romance book titled "Make You Love Me" by Baeleeeunbo.
I was reading for a minute when suddenly someone pulled a chair beside me. I could smell her scent and it was Chanel perfume. I stole a glance to see Jennie Kim sitting beside me.
"What are you reading?" She leaned closer to me and that made me gulp. "So, you like that type of story?"
"Not really." I answered shortly. I focused myself on the book that I'm reading, but she is too close to me and I can feel her breathing in my neck.
Because of this woman, I can't really read the book properly. I can't focus. I know that the students' eyes are on us.
"Next page." Jennie Kim whispered into my left ear. I put the book on her table in front of her.
"Here." I opened my bag and got my notebook for this subject.
"We can read together." she said which made me shake my head.
She is really weird.
What on earth is happening to her?
Why did she suddenly become kind or something?
"I'm fine." I opened my notebook and I did a recap. She didn't answer anymore, which made me sigh in relief. I saw in my peripheral vision that she was stealing a glance at me while reading the book.
A minute later, our professor arrived and immediately started his lesson. I rested my chin on my right hand and listened to the lesson while playing with my pen on my left hand.
I felt someone was looking at me, and I didn't really have to guess who it was because I know it's Jennie. I felt uncomfortable, so I thought I would ask her if she needed anything.
"Do you need something?" I whispered to her, which made her slightly surprised. Maybe she didn't expect me to talk to her.
"Nothing, I just find you attractive in your eyeglasses." I felt my face heat up. I immediately looked away.
'Yah! Lisa! You dumb dumb, don't blush, you are such an embarrassment, but why on earth is she complimenting me? ' I shook my thoughts.
"We will be having a talent competition or contest in 2 weeks. You can all join and show your incredible talent." Prof. informed us. I don't see anyone interested in that talent show. "The price will be a big trophy, grade, and a little cash of 3,000,000."
'A little cash!!! What the hell? That is a $3,000,000 amount!!' I exclaimed in my thoughts.
"I hope I will see some fine arts students in that talent competition. Our lessons for this semester are already finished, and the exam will be after a month. Study well and good luck! " The professor went out of the room, and some students started to leave the room.
As I put all of my stuff in my bag, I kept thinking about that talent competition because there is a cash prize, which is a pretty big amount.
"Monkey, are you interested?" Seulgi asked, I removed my eyeglasses and put them in my bag before I stood up.
"Why is the cash prize too big?" I asked as we leave the room.
"Well, for us poor students, it's a big amount, but for the rich students, it's just a coin or even cents."
"You have a point. I think there will be a lot of poor students going to join that contest."
"Not really."
"Why?"
"You recall the previous situation of the poor students? We are constantly bullied, so performing in front of many judgemental eyes will require a lot of confidence, and you should be talented enough to impress them, or else you will simply embarrass yourself."
We arrive at our next room, but suddenly our professor declares a class cancellation. We choose to proceed to the cafeteria to meet our other friends.
"So you say there are no poor students joining that contest?" She nodded.
"Well, only rich students join that, especially from the dance club, vocal club, and the school band."'
"They don't need to prove themselves just to get the prize."
When we arrive at the cafeteria, we both immediately fall in line.
"The trophy is like their dignity, that three clubs are not on good terms, especially when it comes to popularity."
"Ohh, so they are rivals." She nodded, we got our food trays, and we got our food.
We found a table and we saw our friends were already here, so we walked to them.
"What are you guys talking about that made you two look so serious?" Rosie asked, and I sat beside her.
"About the talent contest." Seulgi answered.
"Well, we are going to see another battle between the three kingdoms."
"Three Kingdoms?" I asked, and they nodded.
"The dance, vocal, and band clubs are called the "Three Kingdoms" because they are always competing with each other and the war between them never ends. It's been 86 years since the fight between those clubs. " I was surprised by Rosie's explanation because this school is, I think, over a hundred years old.
"Wow, that is quite surprising, it's too long. I haven't born yet, yet they are already fighting for the trophy. "
"Well, Liz, the trophy is made with 24k gold." Cubby said it casually, but it caused my eyes to widen.
"What!?" I exclaimed.
Jackson sang "24 karat magic in the air," and he even did a swag dance step.
"How much is this school's budget for that contest?"
"Well, it's quite big because the trophy is not only made with pure 24 karat because it also has real diamonds on it." Kook added.
"There is also another reason why they are fighting it: you will have a chance to attend or perform at the party with the whole Kim Empire." Rosie stated.
"Kim Empire? As in the whole family of Kim? " They all nodded. "What is so interesting about attending their party?"
Seulgi and Rosie smacked my head while Cubby and Jackson threw me their burger wrappers.
"You dumb dumb, meeting them is such a good opportunity. The invitation you will be receiving before you attend that party has a lot of advantages. You can put it on your resume that you attended that party, and you can show it to the mall. Then they will treat you like a VIP, but the invitation is only valid for a year. " Rosie explained.
"Wow, I didn't know that just a piece of paper would make your life easier."
"It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet the whole Kim Empire, especially the three kings and the Grand Sire." Seulgi added.
"Who has won in previous years?"
"The three kingdoms are always tied since they are really great." Cubby answered. "So, they haven't attended that party, which is making them frustrated. They go insane that they use violent methods to try to stop or ruin their performance. "
"That's exaggerating." They just nodded. "Who are the judges, by the way?"
"Soloist Rain."
"Shinee Taemin.
"Shinee Key."
"Soloist Boa."
"F.T. Island Lee Hongki."
"Former Wonder Girl Yubin."
"Psy."
"Blacklabel Producer Teddy."
My jaw dropped. That is all popular in the Kpop industry. I didn't know that this school had a lot of power to cast them as judges for a school contest or competition.
"Are you guys kidding me?" They shook their heads. This university is insane. Now I know why the three kingdoms are not in good terms.
"Well, the line up is getting boring because those three are the constant contestants, and they always tie, so it's boring to watch anymore." Jackson stated, and he had a point, watching the same clubs competing with each other over and over again is boring. There is no thrill anymore.
"Why don't you join then so there will be something new to happen this year?" I joked.
"That is something I'm never going to do and never think of doing."
"Then don't complain." He saluted, then we continued eating.

We are here at the principal's office. I don't know why, but the principal called us and he even used the speaker, so everyone on the campus knows that he was asking for our presence.
"I want to ask why did you all suddenly join the competition?" Mr. Daesung, do you know Mr. Dae? asked
"What competition, Sir?" Kook questioned.
"The talent contest." We were all shocked.
"What?!?!?" We all exclaimed in sync. He brought out a paper and he handed it to me.
"Your names are all written in that form." We read the paper, and he is right; our names are all in that paper, but there is no indication of what we are going to do on the stage.
"I think there is a misunderstanding here, Mr. Dae, because we never remember that we filled out this form and we are not interested in this matter." I explained and he nodded.
"Well, good luck and keep up the good work, kids. "I frowned.
"Pardon?"
"I wish all good luck, don't get hurt, and I hope you win. " He playfully winked at us.
"Mr. Dae, we already told you we never filled out that form, which means to say that we are not the ones who filled it out and passed it to you. Therefore, we will never be a contestant in that contest." Rosie said, and he smiled.
"Sorry kids, but the line up is already done and it will be posted in an hour." Stop complaining, stop wasting my and your time. Instead, use it to practice. Goodluck. I'm rooting for this new group." He winked and laughed.
"Bu--" Seulgi was about to complain when Mr. Dae signed her to zip her mouth.
"Not my problem, kid, so face it." We all groaned.
We left his office and we were all walking like zombies. It feels like we ran for 3 hours straight. That drained our energy.
"Who the hell put our name on that form?" I heard Seulgi say with annoyance.
"I'm going to kill that person." Jackson growled.
"I'm going to bury the person you are going to kill, Jackson." Cubby added.
"I'm going to help you, Cubby, bury that person." Rosie said, and Cubby hummed in response.
"Lisa, why are your legs shaking?" Kook asked and I looked at my legs. He was right, my legs were shaking.
"I felt so weak. It felt like a vampire sucked all of my blood, draining me and making me weak." He squated in front of me and motioned me to get in his back.
"Hop on, I will carry you." I didn't bother to refuse; he carried me so easily, maybe because I'm too skinny. "Your light is like a feather."
"Thanks, Kookie." I put my arms around his neck and I closed my eyes.
"It's nothing." I hummed in response, and I felt he had stopped walking.
"If I'm not your friend, I will think you two are a couple." I suddenly heard Jisoo's voice. I opened my eyes to see her with her twin, Jennie Kim, Irene, and Mina.
"Well, you are my friends, so you see, Jungkook and I are friends as well." I answered lazily.
"We don't mind if they become a couple; they look good together." Seulgi stated. "Jungkook and Lisa, you have my blessings."
"I don't need your blessings because I'm not interested in love for now and Jungkook is a great male friend of mine."
"I'm just saying, just in case you two fall in love with each other."
"I think that is impossible to happen." Jisoo said made me curious.
"Why?"
"Our Lisa is not interested for the moment, and I know someone will not let Lisa fall in love with someone that is not her." She said which made me frowned.
Who the hell is she talking about?
Her?
So it's a female.
"Don't tell me Chu you're opposing them." Cubby questioned.
"So so." I chuckled.
"Jisoo Charlotte Kim, if you had a crush on me, just admit it." I teased her and that made her look at me in disgust.
You're a moron! I'm not! That is the most disgusting thing you said. " She defended that, which made me laugh.
"Don't worry, Chu, I don't mind if you have a crush on me." I winked at her and she rolled her eyes.
"You monkey, shut it down, it's disgusting."
"Let's go now. I need to eat something sweet. I felt like my sugar level dropped because of that contest." Rosie interrupted and she keep rubbing her tummy.
"See you then, Chu." I waved at her and she smiled.
We bowed slightly to the people she was with.
Jungkook started walking while he was giving me a piggyback ride. I felt my phone vibrate, and I looked at it.
