"IM A HURT HUMAN BEING WHO ALMOST DIED. PLEASE SPARE ME MERCY!!"
"Stop complaining. Other people almost die too you know!? You're not special."
The rain wouldn't stop pouring as we ran across the land.
We needed to make it to the jade chamber, in order to help out in any way we can.
We could see the monster from where we were.
Or at least, what it will soon become.
Raging winds covered the ocean, as a vortex sucked in the water of the harbor.
Whatever was in the middle would be incredibly powerful.
I was clutching my leather-covered book to my stomach, protecting it from any sort of debris or water that may damage it.
It was a huge relief when I found it.
✧・゚:* ♡ *:・゚✧
"Woah. Is that my book?"
"Yeah."
"Heh, nice. Yoink!"
✧・゚:* ♡ *:・゚✧
I didn't have enough time to store it into my pack, since as soon as I nabbed it, we had to leave for the Jade chamber immediately.
"I think im gonna faint."
"you WILL make it."
✧・゚:* ♡ *:・゚✧
The sight from the platform of the Jade chamber was even more terrifying from the one on the ground.
The God Osial had been awakened, and now, Liyue Harbor was in danger.
'Mother fucker. I remember you. How about I summon my own meteors to take you down. I don't know how, but ill do it.'
"Hold on! It's the Adepti!"
Being surprised by Paimons words, I quickly turned around, seeing foam dentures, Luna inscriber, Peak molder, and Xiao.
Madam Ping was here too, as well as Ganyu, to whom I almost jumped with joy.
"What are you doing here?"
Xiao had rather rudely asked.
Placing an offended hand on my chest I snapped back.
"No. What are YOU doing here?"
His glare scared me. So I shut up immediately.
Paimon, who was actually confused about their presence asked the genuine question of why they were here.
For this, Lady Ningguang stepped in.
"Faced with a calamity of such magnitude, we have agreed to put our differences aside for now and unite against this common enemy."
Her words enlightened all of us as her regal aura never ceased to pleased.
However, her words didn't seem to affect everyone here.
Letting out a snobby "Hmph" Moon Carver raised his head in disdain.
Being the more mature one, Ningguang simply ignored the old deer.
"Paimon gets it... So how do you plan to defend Liyue? Yugh, just seeing this Overlord of the Vortex guy puts a pit in Paimon's tummy, even from all the way out here."
She was right.
Osial was a huge, scary monster. Kinda like a hydra or a Kraken.
"Hmm, I swear I've seen that thing on the hub..."
"What?"
I hadn't noticed Keqing presence beside me, so her speaking so suddenly startled me.
I jumped back in surprise.
"Oh, nothing nothing!"
Seeing no need to press me any further, Lady Keqing continued.
"It's not just you. We've got new Milelith recruits who can't even stand at attention without shaking. The force of an ancient god's presence seems to be too much for ordinary people to handle."
Looking back at the Milelith soldiers, I could see where she was coming from. They were practically pissing their pants.
Hah, wimps.
"We must stop this creature from getting any closer to Liyue Harbor!"
At her declaration, everyone agreed wholeheartedly.
"So the Archon war was fought two thousand years ago against enemies like that thing!? How that's scary..."
Xiao seemed affected by Paimons comment, turning his head away and to the ground.
I felt bad for him, knowing that a war I had slept through like a baby, had caused the boy so much pain and anguish.
Pity welled up in my chest, and to relieve it, I had to do one thing.
Sneaking up to Xiao, I elbowed him lightly as the others continued to talk.
"You okay?"
He tried his best to look like he didn't hear my words. That or he genuinely didn't care.
I scoffed.
"Yeah no. I made up my mind."
At my words, he showed the slightest bit of interest. Arms still crossed tightly as he moved his head half a centimeter towards my direction.
"You and I are going on a date once this is over."
He didn't move.
Nor did he react at all.
It was like the gears were turning inside his head to completely comprehend what I had just declared, but even then, I don't think he believed in what he heard.
"Mhmm."
Walking away, I wasn't going to wait for his answer, as it was already set in stone.
I'll make sure of it.
'Homie really thinks he'll get away from my friend making magic. Nope, I'll make him happy..... somehow.'
"We haven't a moment to spare."
Lady Ningguang announced as she placed the tips of her fingers together.
"Our Battle begins now!"
A golden light encased the stunning woman as she flew higher.
Drawing a circle of golden light, her vision activated, a beautiful flower appearing as geo-energy resonated through the air.
From the Jade Chamber, she summoned a plethora of sigils, forming a circle in front of us, and this, a platform.
The wave of power we felt was no joke. I could see why Lady Ningguang was hailed as the Tianquan of Liyue Harbor.
We had no time to awe at the display, as 3 Guizhong ballistas emerged from the platform.
From there, the three Adepti, Moon Carver, Mountain shaper, and Cloud Retainer stepped forth, all taking a place on each of the weapons.
With their adept at energy, various shots were fired at Osial, the creature wailing in pain as it was hit by the pure energy.
Their plan was working.
"THE FATUI!"
Paimon screamed in horror.
Somehow, members of the fatui were able to come up here.
They were teleported, and dead set on stopping the Adepti from defeating Osial.
Nuisances.
Not wasting time, Aether and Keqing unsheathed their weapons, running full speed at the enemies, prepared to take them down at any cost.
"Right, we'll have to protect the Guizhong ballistas at any cost... I'll try my best to- (Y/N)! WHAT ARE YOU STILL DOING HERE!?"
Smiling down at my empty hands, my mind blanked as my eyes dulled.
"I..."
"You what (y/n)!?"
"I left my Claymore at the golden house..."
.
.
.
"WHAAAAATTTTTT!?!??"
