*** A few days later ***
"So no update on Mr.Hollywood" said Jamie over the phone
"Nope nada" replied Scarlett as she put the call on speaker phone "keep talking I'm just washing up some dishes" she continued.
"You think you paying for that dinner kinda put him off?" Jamie questioned hesitantly
"What? No.. I don't think so. I mean so what if I paid" said Scarlett for she found that to be an absurd reason for a man to not call back.
"I mean..." continued Jamie
"You mean he's rich brat and his ego prevents him to call back a woman who can pay for dinner?" Said Scarlett sarcastically.
"Gurl" said Jamie before Scarlett cut her off "I know I know, I'm kidding and anyway you've met the guy, he doesn't seem the type.." said Scarlett trying to see the best of the situation.
The two talked on and on about the dinner, was it something Scarlett said? Or did her paying for dinner really embarrass him... she felt uneasy hence out of rash decision making ended up grabbing her phone and calling him up.
*ring*
*ring*
The call kept going and just when Scarlett thought she'd go to voice mail a groggy voice picked up.
"Hello..Scarlett?"said Erik,
he sounded tired, almost as if he'd been asleep and that's when reality hit Scarlett. It was 2am on a Thursday morning..
"Shit.. Um.. hey?" Said Scarlett in a fake yet semi convincing sleepy voice.
***Erik's Pov***
It had been a week since his date with Scarlett and since then the two had talked back and forth over text yet not as often as one would. Being busy with work and not to mention the newest addition to his problems and that being; his father blocked his bank account, he hadn't gotten a chance to call Scarlett back.
At 2am in the morning the ringing sound woke him up, the screen read out 'Scarlett'
Finding it odd to be getting a call in the middle of the night Erik picked up.
"Hello..Scarlett" he spoke groggily
"Shit.. um hey" said Scarlett in the other end of the phone, she sounded tired yet pretended not to be the one calling at 2am in the morning.
Hearing her voice Erik sat up within his bed, Turing on a lamp that stood tall along his bedside.
"You called?" He said with a smile that crept along his tired face, his head resting up against the wooden bed frame.
"Oh.. um butt dial probably" she said as a 'yawn' escaped her.
"Yeah.. butt dials, hate em" said Erik playing along with Scarlett's so called excise to call him in the middle of the night.

Okay so I know this is short but like I'm back!!! Lol I'll try my best to post regularly and like I'm so sorry to have gone MIA but I'm back! And hopefully y'all enjoyed this chapter!
