Jungkook has joined Kim Consolidated and working there for a week now. He is loving his job and made friends in the office he hangs out with in the weekend. His job is mostly technical and he spends most of his time infront of his computer. He is working on a new code when he hears his friend chirping behind him.
"Jungkookie, you have been working non-stop since the morning. Come let's take a break, let's go to the office caffeteria?", Baekhyun chirps.
"Ah..Baekhyunie, just give me 5 minutes, I will finish this and see you there?"
"Boss is in a meeting with the CEO, we should go and come back before the meeting ends. You know how crazy she can get!"
"Come on! Our boss isn't crazy", Jungkook scoffs and closes his laptop to go with Baekhyun to the cafe.
Kook and Baek are chatting and laughing away in the cafe losing track of time when suddenly Kook realises they have taken a 45 minutes break already. "Oh shit! We are so dead Baekie, look at the time! She will kill us, the Boss will kill us today. We need to get back before she finds out we aren't working."
Jungkook and Baekhyun immediately walk out of the cafe only to find Hwasa standing at the door staring them down.
"Ma'am? We just came here to get some snack, we were just heading back. Right Jungkook?",Baekhyun tries to save the situation.
"Yes, yes ma'am. He is right!", adds Jungkook.
"My meeting with Mr. Kim ended half an hour ago and I see you two have been missing since then. Jungkook, isn't this your first week in the company?"
Hwasa is the head manager of the technical department and she is known to be really strict with her sub-ordinates. There is no way is she going to let this one slide.
"Ma'am, I dragged him to the cafeteria. It was my fault. I saw him working since the morning and thought he needed a break." Baekie tries to defend Jungkook as he knows Jungkook is the new employee here and is totally at a risk of losing his job.
"Oh you thought?", Hwasa hisses in anger. She is about to say more when a young man interupts them and asks Hwasa to go with him for a moment. Hwasa wouldn't deny this man. He was the CEO's personal secretary after all.
"What is it Sungho?", she asks as she walks away with him.
Baekhyun and Jungkook fearfully wait while Hwasa chats away with Sungho.
"I shouldn't have dragged you with me. Now she will fire you because of me. God what did I do!?", Baekhyun sadly whispers to Jungkook.
"It wasn't just your fault Baekie! I lost the track of time. If I lose my job today, it's on me. Not you."
They were interupted as Hwasa comes back to address the problem at hand.
"I don't know what you have deserved to be so lucky Mr. Jeon. I am ignoring this mistake of yours today. Make sure I never catch you being lazy at work again.", Hwasa says with the coldest tone ever.
Baekhyun is shocked at this. He has never seen Hwasa forgive an employee like this. Let alone a new one.
"I promise I will work harder ma'am. Thank you for sparing my job.", says Jungkook sighing in relief.
Both of them go back to their desks and get back to work. Jungkook doesn't think of this incident a lot because he doesn't know Hwasa's nature like Baekhyun does. On the other hand, Baekhyun can't stop pondering over what might be the reason Jungkook was spared today when suddenly something strikes him.
"Jungkook, you remember how Sungho was the one who called Boss away right before she could say anything to you?" Baekhyun whispers.
"Yes, why?"
"Don't you think it could be him who might have persuaded Boss to not punish you?"
"And why would he do that? I don't even know him. I saw him for the first time today. I just know he is the PA to our CEO."
"Yeah that's right but he did help. Trust me, you don't know the boss like I do. She never spares anyone.",he says barely above a whisper making sure his other colleagues don't hear him.
"Baekie, why would he help me though?"
"I don't know maybe he has a crush on you? I have heard he is gay. If that's the case you should thank him and maybe ask him out. He is cute. Isn't he?", Baekie now almost excited to set his friend up with Sungho.
"I should thank him but I don't think I will ask him out. He does not seem like my type.", Jungkook almost laughs while saying this. "I will find him today and ask him if he really did help me today and why."
Jungkook finishes his work for today and before leaving finds Sungho to ask him what he has been dying to ask the whole day.
"Mr. Park? Hi! I wanted to ask you something."
Sungho converges his entire attention to Jungkook who is visibly nervous. "Yes, you are Jungkook right? From the IT department? You have my attention."
"Ah..I..I can't help but notice that you called my boss away right before she could potentially fire me. I was wondering if you had anything to do with her sparing my job?"
"What makes you think that I helped you?"
"Um, well my friend says that our Boss does not spare such mistakes from a newbie like me and he thinks you might have said something to make her change her mind. Have you?"
Sungho tries to control his proud grin and says, "Yes, I asked her to spare you this time".
"Really? I can't thank you enough for what you did. Thank you Mr. Park. Really."
"Don't thank me. I did what I was asked to do. Thank yourself for successfully becoming one of the million boytoys of Mr. Kim.", Sungho scoffs. Jungkook could see the disapproval in his eyes.
"Mr. Kim? Boytoy? What do you mean? Why would you call me a boytoy to our CEO? I haven't even met him yet. Haven't even seen him. I am just an employee in the IT department. Please don't be disrespectful to someone you don't even know.", Jungkook is hurt by Sungho's comment and turns around to leave when he hears Sungho talk again.
"Really? Then why did Mr. Kim ask me to save your ass today?"
"WELL I DON'T KNOW! WHY DON'T YOU GO AND ASK THAT TO YOUR BOSS?", Jungkook yells at Sungho making him flinch a little. "Or maybe don't. I will ask him what this is about myself". With this Jungkook heads to the top floor of the building where he has never been before. It is already 6pm and the office is nearly empty but the CEO leaves late. It is public knowledge. Jungkook is hurt by Sungho's comment and he isn't thinking straight as he storms into the CEO's office without even knocking. His heart races fast as he sees a tall figure standing near the window of his cabin looking out.
"Mr. Kim, I am sorry to disturb you but I have a question that I want to ask you. Why did your PA call me your boytoy?"
Jungkook waits for the CEO to face him and tell him what was going on but he doesn't. "Mr. Kim? Sir?,", Jungkook now growing impatient by the second.
"He called you what?", Taehyung says almost growling and turns around to face Jungkook, visibly angry.
"Tae..Taehyung?What are you-", Jungkook was taken aback but instantly recognised Taehyung whom he met at the hospital just a little over a month ago.
"WHAT DID HE CALL YOU JUNGKOOK?", Taehyung growls in the angriest tone ever. It was enough to make Jungkook tremble in fear.
"He..a..a boytoy..he called me the CEO's boytoy." Jungkook hardly finished the sentence when Taehyung picks up the receiver of the intercom and practically screams at it. "Park Sungho, in my office. NOW!"
"I don't understand. What is going on? Are you Mr. Kim?", Jungkook sounds confused.
"Kim Taehyung, CEO, Kim Consolidated.", Taehyung deadpans not paying attention to Jungkook and staring at the door, waiting for Sungho to come in.
Sungho comes running to the cabin in just seconds, panting." Sir,you called for me?"
Sungho notices Jungkook standing right beside him and instantly figures that he fucked up. He didn't really think Jungkook would have the guts to directly speak to the CEO.
"Sungho, what does a boytoy mean?"
"Sir? I don't under-"
"WHAT DOES A BOYTOY MEAN?", Taehyung loses his temper and screams from the other side of the table making Sungho and Jungkook both flinch a little.
"Sir I didn't really mean-"
"Didn't mean what?", Tae hisses in anger.
"Sir, I.."
Jungkook interupts the two, feeling bad for Sungho, "Sir, I think I might have heard something else. I don't think he said what I thought he did. Please forgive me."
Taehyung looks at Jungkook and something about his face melts his anger in seconds. He takes a deep breath before speaking again. "Mr. Park, get out of my sight you are fired."
"Sir? Please..no-",Sungho whimpers.
"Get out now. Don't make me call the security.", Taehyung said in the coldest tone ever while staring at Jungkook.
Sungho walks out of the cabin and the office with teary eyes while Jungkook just stands there trying to understand what just happened infront of him. He is instantly brought out of his trance with Taehyung's deep intimidating voice. "Why?"
"I am sorry what?", Jungkook was confused.
"Why do you have this effect on me? Why did your voice calm me in seconds when I was boiling inside?", Taehyung questions while walking straight towards him making the younger nervous.
"I..I don't k..know what you are t..talk-", he is instantly cut off because Taehyung now stands inches away from himself. Their faces right infront of each other. Jungkook tries to step back only for his back to meet the wall in a few steps. Taehyung now standing right infront of him blocking him with his hands from both the sides. "Answer me Jungkook. Why?"
Jungkook is at a loss for words. Taehyung's dark eyes making him nervous like no one ever could. "I don't know what you are talking about Sir.", Jungkook practically whimpers trapped in between Taehyung's hands.
Taehyung stares deep into Jungkook's doe eyes making him flustured. No matter how much Jungkook wants to, he cannot deny that Taehyung is hot and something about him was clearly driving him crazy. However, Jungkook didn't want to give in to a meaningless moment of attraction especially when the person in question is the CEO of the company he works at.
Taehyung notices the fear and confusion in Jungkook's eyes and takes a deep breath before letting him out of his little cage. "You can leave now Jungkook.", he says turning away to go back to his table.
Jungkook's heart is still racing but he somehow manages to speak. "Sir, why did you save my job?"
Taehyung turns to face Jungkook raising his eyesbrows amused at the innocence of this beautiful man standing infront of him. "You still feel the need to ask me this question?"
"I don't understand why would you go out of your way and send your PA to save me from getting fired.", Jungkook is still confused about the whole thing.
"Well maybe I did this because I like to see your face and would like to keep you around?", Taehyung smirks staring at the younger while slowly walking towards him.
Jungkook instantly regrets asking this question, shifts in his place out of nervousness. "Sir, it's late. I think I should lea-"
"Leave? Don't you want to know why I saved you anymore?"
"Sir I-"
"The last time I met you, you were confidently staring me down. Why are you suddenly so timid now?", Taehyung asks in a soft voice. "Why are you scared Jungkook? Do I scare you?". Taehyung stands right infront of Jungkook who is now staring at his feet.
Taehyung stands as close to him as possible, their faces only inches away, he slowly lifts Jungkook's chin to face him. Magically, Jungkook is suddenly not flustered anymore. He looks straight into Tae's eyes and finds himself drawn towards him. The fire Jungkook feels in his pit must be mutual because Taehyung doesn't waste a single second to kiss the younger's plump lips passionately. Jungkook melts into the kiss and into the older's embrace, losing himself. Taehyung's large palms roams around Jungkook muscular back and make their way to his round ass when suddenly Jungkook, who was totally lost in the passionate kiss, pulls away panting.
"You are my boss, we shouldn't do this.", his voice barely above a whisper.
Taehyung is visibly annoyed at what Jungkook said. He just wants to devour him at the moment but Jungkook decides to step back.
