The Fox's Touch Lingers

I'm tired.
I'm not sure what to do.

Your touch lingers on my skin,
but so do others too.

It is not as if,
We are a match made in heaven.

But I will mention,
There was a time I thought the world only of you.

So now I'm never sober,
Drunk on a better man's touch.

But I still think of you in the night,
Because I once thought you were the one who'd keep my flame alight.

Although I see it now,
I meant nothing to you.

You still meant everything to me,
So in the end I still think of you.

And even though now another's touch lingers, yours still has a tendency to harm.

To burn; I think it's left a scar.
