The world is getting colder.
Wake me up,
I'll take everything I said back.
You were an honest mistake,
It was all fake.
The Rock Falls,
The water shudders,
And my love,
it was supposed to flutter.
But you never even had the thought.
It was groundless, my infatuation,
But the sound of happiness played,
within my thoughts.
But butterfly wings,
Are soundless without others.
And so, lonely, I stuttered.
We're prisoners; offenders.
Our hearts the crime scene,
but it's not your fault,
It was all me.
Because I never knew it myself,
But I'm trying.
I'm learning,
about me, and now I know
You were never worthy.
I'm lonely but it's not your fault,
I've lost my need for you,
You were just never worth my time,
But time was all I had to give you,
I cried.
I'm scared that my heart will keep
Fluttering for others
Despite its inability to beat
for others who are kind
I wonder if that one has some time for me?
