Death do we part

A startling breeze, the smell of rain.
My favourite tree,
has been blown away.

It swayed and danced,
pranced, I was entranced―

the rain swept my favourite tree away.

The rain, a sunny day,
My tree lay bare.
Upon its bark, I saw a spark,
it ignited my heart, to touch,

I wouldn't dare.

My tree seemed to scream,
and the fire it beamed

a smile of sullen ecstasy.

My tree, so green, a smile of a fiend,
for many cuts and scapes it gave.

But upon its branches, I could see the sun, the sky, the sea.
My favourite tree, seemed to invite me,

and so I climbed its branches.

Without fear, nor care,
I climbed it, like stairs.
Swinging through branches weaving through leaves,

my precious place,

My spot, it enticed me.
I laughed in excitement.

A full moon, a meteorite shower, my tree, no longer can it flower.

My favourite tree has beamed with light, and after the darkness, I realised.

It has grown in my soul,
and shaped my life.
We were destined to part,
a small pain in my heart

A startling breeze, the smell of rain.
My favourite tree,
has been blown away.

It ignited the flame, the screams,
still lingering in my heart,

the ashes silently scattered―

a thought.

Till death do us part.
