Kelly "Politics, man."

At Gabby's.

Gabby "They found an aneurysm on the right iliac artery"

me "from the abdominal pregnancy you had couple years ago?"

Casey nodded.

Me "so if you get pregnant there's a risk that the aneurysm could ..."

They nodded.

Me "and that would be fatal for you, Gabs"

She nodded in tears.

I sighed and moved over to sit next to her to hug her.

She hugged me back in tears.

Casey looked at me in tears.

I put a hand on his arm while hugging Gabby.

He put a hand over my hand and nodded.

At the 21st district.

I walked down from Intelligence when i saw Kelly and Renee at the reception.

Renee was crying while answering a phone call.

I walked over to Kelly, confused "what happened?"

Kelly "Nicholas went missing"

My jaw dropped "you're kidding"

He shook his head "nah, i am not. "

Renee was on the phone sobbing "Where... Where are you? Okay, I'm gonna come to you.Good."

She hung up and turned to us "That was my babysitter. They went ice skating, and then she took Nicholas back to her house. She was charging her phone and they both fell asleep. I'm so embarrassed."

She looked down in tears.

Kelly to Joe "Hey, thanks, Joe."

Joe nodded and walked away.

Renee "I'm so sorry."

Kelly " That's perfectly understandable. Let's go get him."

Renee nodded and walked out.

Next day. morning. At Chief's office.

Kelly, Casey and i walked inside.

Chief was on the phone talking to someone "You will have to take that up with Chief Huffhines in the public relations department. Thank you."

Then he hung up.

Casey "I haven't seen anything online yet."

Chief "Well, maybe there's hope for fact-checking in the world."

Casey "Any idea how this bribery story got started?"

Kelly "There's no mystery there. It had to be Grizz. He's the only other person
who knew about it. "

Casey "He also knows it's a bunch of lies."

I shook my head "doesn't matter if he could use it as an advantage "

Chief "I'm gonna handle the story the same way we handled the incident itself... above board and by the book."

Alarm went off " Squad 3, Engine 51. Construction fire. 81 South Aberdeen St.2

Chief sighed " Let's go."



At the fire.

Chief "What happened?"

A construction worker "Our crew must've broken a gas main. The lumber... it just went up like kindling."

Chief "We'll fight the fire from the second floor.Battalion 25 to Main, we have a ruptured gas main. We need the gas company here ASAP to shut this thing down. 51, drop two lines... one to cover the team inside, one to be in position
to extinguish the fire once this gas is shut off."
