Next day. Morning. At the Firehouse. 

I walked inside and Kelly walked over to me. 

I nodded "Lieutenant"

Kelly "you're late"

Me "my mother held me back . Won't happen again"

Then i went to walk away. 

Kelly "Flo,"

I turned to him "yes, boss"

Kelly "you know that i don't care if you're late or not but the Chief does. "

me "but i don't care about what the Chief wants"

Kelly "what did your mother want?"

Me "well, i don't think that's any of your concern, Liuetenant"

Kelly sighed "She's using you, Flo, can't you see that?"

Me "she's still my mother, Lieutenant "

Kelly "the hell she is? She left you"

I sighed" I can take care of myself"

Kelly "by the looks of it you can't"

I scoffed "my private life doesn't concern you anymore, Lieutenant"

Then I walked away.

At the Boden's place. 

I walked inside "you wanted to see me, Wally ?"

Chief nodded and put the baby in his crib  "yes"

Me "it is about Lori?"

He nodded "Yes"

I nodded, annoyed "of course "

Then I sat down on the sofa. 

Chief "I'm worried about you, kid"

I eyed him and then scoffed "Kelly told you to talk to me, didn't he?"

Chief sighed"well, I had planned on talking to you myself but thanks to him I realized how urgent this talk really was "

I shook my head "I am fine"

Then I stood up and turned to the door.

Chief "she had an affair"

I froze.

Chief "She was having an affair with some business man behind your dad's back"

I turned to him.

Chief "She got pregnant and left your dad "

I shook my head "she wouldn-"

Chief nodded "oh, i know your mother. she would. "

I looked down "why did you never tell me?"

Chief "because I thought that abandoning was already enough, Florence, but cheating you on your dad? Leaving him for a businessman who was married that time? I didn't want to make things harder for you "

Me "you should've told me sooner. You had no right to keep that from me"

Chief nodded  "as your legal guardian I had every right to"

I shook my head "you lied to me. You told me you didn't know where my mother was ! you knew exactly were she was, Wallace, you knew it this whole time""

Chief "she abandoned you, Florence, she never cared about you"

I scoffed, shaking my head and walked out.
