Friday II: Heroine

"No no no now you are going too far man" Gerald complained

"I was just showing you what's coming, I meant no disrespect, have a nice afternoon" Richard said as he walked out, before he left he turned and said "think about it"

"Okay now that's just cold and wrong, Sanchez talk to your man" Casey said

"He's right" Fitz finally spoke

"What ,Fitz you too?" Carol said in disappointment

"Yes me too" replied Fitz

"Right now you can't see it but you'll understand when you lose someone important to you" Johnny intruded sending a chill down the other's spines

After this everyone went their separate ways.

Kill him, we are not the ones to make that call, Jessica thought as she slowly drove home. She decided to fill her car at the fuel station that they had been the day before yesterday, it was the only one that was on the way to her house. She stopped the car and as she filled her tank she heard yelling and noises coming from the store then she saw someone being shoved out. It was a woman, she looked closely and her eyes opened wide it was Rose. Jessica ran towards her

"Whats going on are you okay?" she asked hugging her

"This asshole is firing me for no apperant reason" she said as she dusted herself and Jessica began helping her. She stopped to see who was helping her and she froze for a split second "Jessica" she finally said

"Hey Rose, now tell me the whole story" Jessica said

"There is not much to tell, I don't know how I was to control the gunshot from the night you were here" Rose said

"Okay" Jessica said and stated walking fast towards the store. She barged in "where is the manager" she yelled

"I'm the manager and we're closed" a fat african man said coming out the back

"I don't see any doors locked" Jessica said

"Get this bitch out of here" the man said and two young men headed towards Jessica and she immediately pulled out her gloc. It stopped  the men at their heels  and brought fear into the atmosphere.

"Don't you fucken touch me" she said with evident irritation in her voice "if you even think of laying a finger on me I'll burn this place and your asses to the ground" she added removing the gun from safe mode

Seeing this the manager began to slowly sweat

"No no there's no need for any noise people please, I'm sorry ma'am we can talk about this" he said trying to tone done the heat

"Do you know I can kill you all and lie that it was self defence, don't fuck with me boys you hear" Jessica said

"Look ma'am please I wasn't thinking straight, look  I can even give your daughter her job back and we continue like nothing happened please" the manager pleaded

"If I even hear that you did anything to her or even if I just suspect any form of ill treatment, you won't live to see the sunset" Jessica said and walked out

"Damnit, Luke you didn't tell us her mother was military" the manager said

"She told me she was an orphan boss" replied one of the boys who had been sent to throw Jessica out

"God damnit, these lying teenage bastards theyll be the end of us" he said as he went back to his office

"Are you okay?" Jessica said as she walked towards Rose

"Yes, I'm fine what happened in there" she asked

"Nothing, we just talked they won't be bothering you any more" Jessica said "anyway I better get going, need a ride?" she added

"That would be nice let me get my jacket" she said and  went back to the shop.

When she got in Luke and Jackie avoided eye contact with her by all means. Her workmate Kate walked up to her smiling, hugged her and whispered in her ear

"Damn girl, your military mom sure put that fat ass in his place"

"What?" she asked then Jessica sounded the horn. Rose hurried to the car and they left.

Jessica's ear piercing ringtone ripped her out of her slumber it almost felt painful. She squinted and rubbed her eyes in order to see clearly who was calling her. She was so exhausted like someone who had  only been out for an hour, oh yes she had only slept for an hour it was 10pm on Thursday.

A private number, who would call me with a private number? She thought to herself as she decided whether to pick up or not, What the  hell maybe its Gerry and she answered

"Hello" she said trying very hard to keep her voice casual

"Pheww for moment there I thought you wouldn't pick up" a female voice said through the phone

"Rose" Jessica said surprised

"It's Rosalyn but its fine yes its me" she replied "wait, did I wake you up, I'm sorry" she added

"No it's fine, how are you?" said Jessica

"I'm fine, well I guess you'd be wondering why I called you, obvious you'd be wondering who wouldn't wonder, what is wrong with you Rose arrrggg"

"Rose!!" Jessica cut her thinking out loud

"Um mm I'm sorry" she cleared her throat "I hope this is not much to ask but are you busy tomorrow afternoon?" she asked and there was silence for a while "look if you are busy it.."

"I'll clear my schedule, what time do you want to see me?" Jessica said politely

"How does 2 pm sound ?" she said

"Okay, its a date, Goodnight" replied Jessica and she hung up. Very odd she thought to herself as she slowly drifted back into dream land.
