Chapter 8

Sam's POV

No this couldn't be happening. I knew it was a possibility but I didn't think it could actually happen.

"Are you positive it was a sign of phasing." I asked Paul.
"Yeah I mean it was brief cuz embry walked into the room and calmed her-"
" Wait she stopped when embry came in the room? " I asked.
" Yeah it was weird, I didn't know imprints could calm people like that."
" They can if its a stronger than normal imprint."
" That's possible."
"Yeah but it's rare."
"Ok but what are we gonna do about Rachael?" Paul asked.
"We keep Embry by her at all times, that way she stays calm."
"And when he can't be with her."
"Don't piss her off."

I walked inside and kissed Emily. She could sense my worry, like always.

"What's wrong?"
"It's Rachael Paul thinks she might phase."
"Why is that such a bad thing?"
" It's condemning her to a life of being a wolf, I don't want that for her."

She wrapped her arms around me trying to calm me and it worked a bit.
"What are you gonna do?" She asked.
"Keep embry by her as much as possible."
"Good luck with that, she may love him but she won't want to be with him all the time, she will need to be alone at times." I knew she was right but I was gonna try and make it go my way.
