Dostana!!!

Changing Dynamics.

It was a pleasent evening for a nice relaxing stroll. The birds chirping, sky in the hues of pinkish blue, the sea waves crashing on the shore... Everything was so good.

Kushal was about to speak something when a black luxurious car stopped in front of them. Two identical, tall and slightly handsome men walked out of it. Shehnaaz and Mrunal gasped as they recognized them. Zack, the ble eyed twin waved at them and the girls waved back. After exchanging some hellos, the green eyed twin looked at Kushal and Siddharth , "Are we interrupting?"

"No no! It's fine! We were put just for a walk." Mrunal replied quickly without a time lag. This somewhat made Kushal jealous. She looked all guddu and hyped. Something in the behind of his back hurt as soon as he locked his eyes with the green ones. His shoulder muscles spasmed and he winced.

"Siddharth, Kushal, meet Zack and Zark Merchant. The producers of Diva Magazine. Basically, our bosses!" Shehnaaz introduced the men.

Siddharth walked forward and let his hand out for a shake, as soon as his hand touched Zack's cold ones, a shiver ran down his spine. This eyes closed shut and a stabbing pain shooted in his back. It hurted like a bitch. "Zi... Aaaannnn" he heard voices and red colour all over his mind. Shehnaaz shook him and that's when he realised he had gone into an episode. He looked into Zack's cold eyes and weirdly enough, he was smirking.

"Nice to meet you. Siddharth? Was it?" The blue eyes twin sneered.

Siddharth gave Kushal a side eye and saw him panting too. He gave a tight lipped smile to Zack and went towards Kushal. "Let's get Outta here." He whispered in Kushal's ears, who on his toes to run out.

Shehnaaz and Mrunal were somehow too busy to notice them go. After about talking for half an hour, Zack offered them lift. Girls politely denied and turned around only to find Siddharth and Kushal had already left. At first both of them confused but then realized that they were talking for almost 45 minutes without acknowledging Siddharth and Kushal's presence at all after the introduction.

The girls decided to walk home.

"Shehnaaz... Are you by any chance into Siddharth?" Mrunal asked and Shehnaaz was caught off guard.

"What bullshit!" Shehnaaz said avoiding any type of contact with Mrunal.

"It's sweet you deny that." Mrunal replied. Shehnaaz huffed and decided to face it.

"I guess it's time. I am into him. I tried not to, but I am. Honestly it's draining. I know that this is not going to lead anywhere and I am just being stupid. But I just can't help it." Shehnaaz sighed.
"Every time I tried ignoring him, I would notice him twice as much.

Every time I decided not talking to him, I would end up sitting beside him talking or quarreling with him for almost an hour.

I can't help Mrunal. Every time I see him, I change...it's a different me, when I am around him. I change and suddenly...". She let out a sigh yet again as her cheeks hurt and her eyes watered.

"How do you do it? Doesn't it hurt?" Shehnaaz asked hinting she knew about Kushal.

"It does but we gotta move on!" Mrunal said and the elevator dinged indicating 13th floor.

The atmosphere of house was not good for some reason. Mrunal and Shehnaaz entered the living room but it felt hollow. They both went to their rooms. That night was one of the quietest night the house had experienced.

As the days passed, it seemed like their DOSTANA was loosing its charm. Their interactions were still same but now it had more of Zack and Zark.

There comes a point in your life when you start regretting one particular decision which naturally leads you to regret everything related to that and ultimately you have a self-encouraging discussion or a breakdown in front of a mirror....where you act like professional therapist for yourself...
Kushal and Siddharth were now at the exact same point of time in their life. Only if they knew the consequences of their delay.
