While I was able to get the forgiveness I'm asking from him, he left me hanging with that kiss. I can still vividly remember how he marked my lips so swiftly.

Pinagbuksan ko ang kumakatok sa pinto. Si Manang. Inabot sa akin ang itim na coat na plinantsa niya.

"Laki na ng pinagbago mo, hijo. Biruin mo isa ka nang ganap na CEO."

Tumawa ako. "Hindi pa po. Mamaya pa."

Ipinatong ko ang coat sa suot kong puting long sleeves. Tiningnan ko ang sarili sa salamin bago lumabas sa kwarto.

Hindi natapos ang role ko sa C.Y. Cosmetics. Nagpatuloy ako sa pagmo-monitor sa sales at sa paglalatag ng strategic plans. Nagamit ko kahit paano ang napag-aralan ko.

Bumaba ako sa harap ng building sakay ng bago kong sasakyan. Binati ako ng security at sinabayan papunta sa conference hall. Binabati ako ng bawat empleyadong makakasalubong ko. Nakakapanibago ang treatment nila sa 'kin ngayon but I'll get used to it eventually.

Narito sa event ang ilang business tycoons. Mga tanyag na pangalan sa larangan ng negosyo. Kinamayan ko sila isa-isa pagpasok. Ang board members, business partners, at investors ng kumpanya. 'Yung iba ngayon ko lang nakita.

Huli kong kinamayan ang tinaguriang 'youngest billionare' sa bansa dahil sa kanyang leading footwear brand– ang Shoe-Min.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Kim," bati ko.

"Likewise, Mr. Park," balik nito nang nakangiti.

I went to my designated seat habang inaantay kong magsimula ang event. Sa tingin si dad na lang ang kulang para mag-start.

"Today is a very special day not just because we are celebrating our thirty-fifth anniversary, but this day also marks the new chapter of this company. I prepared for the day I would step down as the CEO, and that day comes right here. I knew right then, he is the perfect one to replace me. But he need a little more push. I did everything for him to be ready, and I didn't fail. He proved himselft that he is deserving and worthy of this position."

"Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce to you the new chairperson of SM Company, my very own son, Mr. Park Chanyeol!"

I heard the whole room being occupied by loud applauses. I came here prepared, pero malakas pa rin ang tibok ng puso ko.

Sumampa ako sa rostrum at humugot ng malalim na hininga bago itinapat ang sarili sa mikropono.
