RE-FOCUS

What is the meaning of FOCUS?

• pay particular attention

• the center of interest or activity

Have you experienced being distracted or out-of-focus? What happen?

How do we know when we are out-of-focus?

1. You are being distracted

2. You cannot see things clearly

3. You become easily tempted

Top 5 reasons People lose spiritual focus

1. Money- We do dumb things and make dumb decisions when it comes to finances.

2. Friends- Our closest relationships often causes us to do stupid things.

3. Pride- When we care about what other people think or try to keep up appearances, pride comes in and makes us do dumb things.

4. Power- When we want to be in control or have an important position, we compromise or take shortcuts to keep it.

5. Entitlement- When we think we have earned it, we end up making bad decisions.

Pero for me eto ang top reasons.

1. PROBLEM- When we are overwhelmed by our problems sometimes we begin to become out of focus. Sa problems and solutions tayo masyadong nag po-focus, and hindi natin napapansin problems ate us, result we begin to become distracted.

2. MONEY- Minsan pag out of cash ka, or T.O.O.C(Temporary-out-of-cash) ka, nawawala ka sa focus mo, dun ka mas naka focus sa paghahanap ng pera or ng way para magka pera, pero may mga taong ang problema naman is masyado silang nadadala ng sobrang pera, nagiging reason din ito kaya tayo nawawala sa focus.

sabi nga sa Matthew 6:24"No one can serve two masters; for either we will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon."

3. FAMILY- Minsan nagiging reason din ang family kaya nawawala sa focus, minsan kasi may mga taong ni-ri-reason-out ang kesyo ang Parents di save kaya nawawala sa focus sa Lord, nadi-distract. Maraming excuses kaya nawawala sa focus. Pero di gumagawa ng paraan para makabalik sa focus.

4. MINISTRY- Minsan pag nasa work na tayo for God there are tendecies pa din na nawawala tayo sa focus, especially sa mga nasa ministry, minsan masyado tayong focus sa work sa Lord pero God himself nawawala tayo sa focus natin. Work, work, work pero si God mismo nawawala na as the center of it. Work lang ng work pero wala na si God sa picture, nagiging responsibility or ginagawang way nalang ang ministry para mag enjoy, minsan nag se-serve lang sa Lord dahil sa kaibigan or dahil masaya, pero pag times of trials na dun masasabing hindi talaga naka focus or sometimes may mga times naman na reason is maraming discouragements sa church kaya imbes mag focus sa Lord sa problems tayo sa Church nag po-focus.

5. WORK- katulad sa ministry minsan God gave us the opportunity na makapag trabaho, free will, binigyan niya tayo ng chance na magka job pero dahil sa maraming distractions at busy schedules nawawala tayo fully sa focus sa Lord, lalo na pag nag compromise na tayo. Kahit pa minsan Christian ka at napakalalim mo na pag ni-let mo ang temptation mag rule sa heart mo, yari ka!

6. LOVE ISSUES- One reason din ng pagkawala sa focus natin ay pag tayo ay umiibig, marami na akong narinig na nag backslide or nawala sa focus ng dahil sa in-love, nagka jowa lang nawala na sa work sa Lord, nawala pa ang focus sa LORD. Nakalimutan na si God na first love niya.

7. FRIENDS- Peer pressure may cause us also to become distracted, lalo na pag hindi good ang mga kasama mong friends, nag co-compromise din tayo pagdating dito, nagiging wordly at nawawala sa focus.

8. PROMISES- Eto ang pinaka matindi sa lahat, promises na ni God nag c-cause pa sa ilan na ma distract! Lalo na pag masyadong ang focus ay puro promises ni God, hindi na si God mismo ang focus, pano pag di nakuha ang promises edi madidisappoint?

When we start making excuses, we soon become distracted by the things in this world has to offer, and it will lead us to become out-of-focus.and when we are distracted it is really hard for us to FOCUS again to what is really important.

Ways to RE-FOCUS.

1. PLAN- Balikan mo yung mga ginagawa mo dati, nung masyado ka pang focus sa Lord, or mas mabuti if dadagdagan mo ng bagong way para mas makapag focus ka pa.

Plan wisely, mahirap na ang plan mo pa lalo ang maglalayo sayo sa Lord, ingatan ang pagpaplano, isulat lahat ng naiisip na way para makabalik sa Lord. Kahit maliliit pang bagay yan isama na din, kasi kahit maliit yan mag a-add up yan para makabalik ka sa focus mo.

2. ASK AND REPENT- Once you planned, humingi ka na ng tawad sa Lord sa mga reason kung bakit ka nawala sa focus. And the reason why you get distracted. Pray also na bigyan ka niya ng lakas na wag ma tempt ulit na mawala ang focus mo sa kanya.

1 Corinthians 10:13 "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it."

Tsaka hindi naman hahayaan ni God na ma distract ka, nasa sa iyo nalang yung kung hahayaan mong mawala ka sa focus.

3. WORK- Start working for it, pag nakita ni Lord na nagpapakahirap ka para lang di ka ma distract, He'll make you able to do that, because He is able! Tutulungan ka niya para maibalik ang focus mo sa kanya, pag nakikita niya ang work mo para lang di mawala sa focus, tutulungan ka niya, bibigyan ka niya ng mga ways para di ka mawala sa focus.

ISAIAH 41:10 "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."

Pero you will never learn from anything if you don't personally experience it and taste defeat, beacuse when you learned from it that's the sweetest comeback from learning to your experiences. God allow things to happen in your life, para matuto tayo at maging wise tayo, para soon hindi lang ito para ma overcome ang true test from God but at the same time way din ito ni God to use you as an inspiration and vessel sa mga tao sa paligid mo.Hinahayaan din ito ni God para makita mo HOW MIGHTY AND STRONG HE IS IN YOUR LIFE, na when you focus and fix your eyes and life to Him, siya ng bahala sa mga susunod na bagay sa life mo. Wag tayong mag focus sa mga bagay sa harap natin, mag focus tayo sa nagbibigay ng mga bagay sa harap natin. Si God.

PROVERBS 4:25 "Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you."I-focus ang sarili sa Lord at hindi sa mga bagay sa paligid mo, once natuto tayong hayaan si God na siya ang mag work sa bawat area ng life natin, magugulat nalang tayo sa result. Once you surrendered everything to God, and put God first, He'll make sure that everything will work for your good. Yung hindi mo siya papangunahan sa lahat ng bagay at hahayaan mo siya, you'll let GOD do His job.

Matthew 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteouness, and all these things shall be added to you.

You'll never waste your time trying to figure out things in your way, you'll just leave everything into God's hands, because you know He work everything for your good, and He'll make sure that everything is beautiful in His time. Sa lahat ng bagay, sa lahat ng oras, sa lahat ng pangyayari hahayaan mo si God na mag work sayo at ikaw gagawin mo ang mga bagay para sa glory niya. Hindi mo hahayaang mawala ka sa focus, hindi ka haharang sa ginagawa ng Lord sa life mo, kundi dun ka mag po-focus sa pinapagawa sayo ni God, at hahayaan si God sa work niya sa mga areas ng life mo. Ikaw gagawin mo ang purpose mo sa Lord, yun ang mas priority mo.
