Calico Kitty

I live for my cat,
My sweet calico kitty
Who I love more than life,
Whose fur is soft and pretty.
She loves me as well,
We're the best of friends.
We'll stick with each other
'Til the day we meet our ends.
When I get bullied,
I confide in her.
When I feel down,
I nuzzle into her soft fur.

I realize I'm gay
And cry to my faithful pet
'Cuz I can't come out,
At least not yet.
I think of a bridge,
A nice place to jump,
But remind myself of her
And my spirit is lifted up.

She's the reason I'm living,
The sun to my moon;
Without her there's no light
And my life is dull and doomed.
She's the reason I'm still here,
The reason I'm holding on,
The reason I'm still alive,
The reason I'm not gone.
I live for her, through her,
There's no doubt about that.
She's my anchor to this world,
Even though she's just a cat.

I know all of these things are true,
None of it are lies.
So what happens when she goes away,
What happens when she dies?
The simple answer is:
I end up going, too.
I can't live without her,
It's sad but it is true.

And now I face myself with this answer,
For the time has come and she is gone.
I stand by what I've said;
I, too, cannot go on.
Because my precious calico's
Life is over and done,
I have nothing left to live for.
My time has finally come.
