『 Year 12 』

I sat on a bench, absent-minded as I thought about the past few weeks.

Slowly and painfully, I have been receiving more and more confessions every day and often, I find myself being saved by my friends...in specific—Xael.

Before, I was thankful as both his expression and reputation would thoroughly scare the boys from getting near. But...somehow it's become burdensome.

In a timely manner, many of his faithful fans have come to notice this pattern.

I had been approached as I was making my way to the Intermediate Salon.

"Excuse me," I turned around, and found a small girl looking up to me with an unreadable smile on her lips. Although I was surprised, I tried my best not to show it as a small smile naturally formed on my lips. Slightly raising my brows in question, I asked, "Is there something you need?"

The gentle look on her face was slightly alarming as I watched her eye me up and down.

"Yes...So I was wondering what your relationship with our dear Xael is?"

I was dumbstruck. "Our dear" she said. Surely she had never met Xael?

With my brows slightly twitching and my smile frozen on my lips, I stared at her with confusion. "You want to know my relationship...with Xael?"

The girl nodded vigorously as her expression turned into a blank stare. "Yes. What is your relationship with Xael Alpheus?"

Never in my life had I ever been questioned on my relationship with anyone...other than that of Fluer, but that's besides the point. When it comes to my small group of friends, shouldn't it be common knowledge by now?

I stared at the girl for a long while, folding my arms across my chest as a grin formed on my lips. I asked her, "Well, what do you think our relationship is?"

The girl's eyes widened, as though it was preposterous of me to ask her such a question. "Y-you! Do you mean to say that you and Xael are in some sort of r-relationship?"

My smile deepened as I tilted my head to the side.

"May I have your name?" When I asked that question, the girl became visibly angry.

"Do not change the subject!"

I blinked once, then twice. "I would at least like to know how to address you."

The girl grew silent before clearing her throat and saying, "Bonnie Luce."

"Bonnie Luce, are you a fan of dear Xael?" She nodded, her face filled with adoration just at the thought, but then her eyes turned sharp as she stared back up at me.

"I see...and yet you do not even know the relations of your own idol?" Her sharp stare disappeared and what replaced it was speechlessness.

I let out a tired sigh. Must I test you like this?

"Well then, I suppose I should get going..." I begin my way towards the salon when I felt a hand hold onto my wrist.

"Wait!"

Slightly turning my head, I raised a brow and waited for her to speak.

"Please! Just tell me what your relation is to Xael Alpheus before you go!"

I found my patience dwindling.

"I'm sorry, but I have a prior engagement to attend."

Quickly, I left and went about my way. What I hadn't expected to happen was for Bonnie to round up a group of Xael fan girls to pry the answer out of me at any given moment.

It seems that Carhee's restrictions for outsiders have come in handy. Not only were they turned away at the door, but they've also been placed on the blacklist to future volleyball games. Although it was a bit excessive, I was still grateful.

I'm not going to lie, I forgot about updating for a few days...
It's been a rough week and honestly I think stress on school, college, etc has been getting to me. There's so much going on and not enough time for it. I had to quit an extra curricular activity that I was in, but I'm also joining other club and programs so I don't know how that's going to work out.
Ignoring my rant and excuses, I just wanted to say that I will try my best to make it for my 1 year anniversary, but that also may mean that I will be taking a temporary hiatus when that day comes.
I will explain in more detail at a later time.
But thank you in advance for sticking with me!
