Year 12

"Ryn, you're famous now."

I looked up, slightly startled by Isa who pouted dejectedly. I gave a confused smile as I tilted my head to the side.

"What do you mean? How could I be 'famous'?"

I couldn't think of any particular event that could have caused this sudden conclusion from Isa. If she told me that Litheon or Xael we're continuously gaining new members to their fan clubs, I would believe it, but me? How can that be?

"It's true," She paused. She glanced at the remaining students who were still in the room before leaning over and whispering with a hand cupped around her mouth.

"Within the few weeks you've been managing the Volleyball club, word has gone around that you're Ryun's cute little cousin."

My brows scrunched up in confusion. "How could being Yoon's cousin cause this? It wasn't as though it were a secret we've been trying to keep."

Isa shook her head before further explaining, "That's only the minor reason. The main reason why you've become such a hot topic is because the members in your club have been bragging about how nice you are. You baking treats for them almost every day is further fueling that flame. Not to mention how tasty they are. Now everyone wants to try one."

My brows furrowed even more. I couldn't understand the logic of the students here anymore.

Isa then let out a sigh as she grabbed my hands and clasped them between hers. Her lips became pouty as her olive green eyes became teary.

"Soon I won't be able to talk to you!" She gave a fake sniffle as she wiped her imaginary tears. "Just look at Xael. He's been swarmed with girls for the past few weeks. Just imagine how many guys will swarm you? Not to mention girls who will try forming connections with you to get to Ryun!"

I rolled my eyes at her exaggeration as a smile formed on my lips.

"That's impossible, Isa." I waved off her fears, but she just stared at me and shook her head. "No, it's very much possible."

She glanced over to the lingering boys sitting in the corner of the class and I followed her sight.

The boys who were looking in our direction jolted in their seats. Their faces immediately flushed red as they awkwardly scratched the back of their heads and waved.

I turned back to Isa, the blood from my face slightly draining. I pressed my fingers against my temples and let out a sigh.

"How could this come to be?" I whispered to myself. Turning my attention back to Isa, I stared at her with worry. "What should I do? You know I hate socializing as much as you do."

Isa's eyes looked into mine intently as she held my shoulders determined. "Perhaps quitting the Volleyball club is the right decision. After all, it's the catalyst to these newfound problems."

"I don't know..." I tell her.

I had just joined the club and that alone had already taken so much courage for me to do so. If I quit, then all that anxiety would have been for naught. And...

"I really like it in there, though..." I pursed my lips and gave an apologetic look to Isa.

I knew she would much rather I leave than be in a club with Litheon.

I sighed again.

"Isa." I called, her face sullen as she gave me a look of betrayal and let go of my hands. I could only smile wryly as I grabbed her arm. "When will you officially make up with Litheon? I know you said it was nothing, but I know there's definitely more to it than said. Come on, it's been almost a month now."

"Hmph! Since when was I ever on good terms with that pig face?" She glowered at me, but I didn't take offense. I just smiled and shook my head, slightly disappointed.

"Why is it that you both become such children when the other is mentioned?" I muttered under my breath, though Isa heard it loud and clear.

"That's not true."

I glanced up at her and smirked. "Okay."

"It's not." She added.

"I said 'okay'." I laughed, but she reached over and pulled at my cheeks.

"But that's not what you mean, you bully." She grinned evilly as I wailed for her to let go. She only did as told once my cheeks were bright red dots.

"I must look like a clown."

"Even as a clown, people will just say you look cute."

I could only frown dejectedly.

Author's note:
Just wondering, but has anyone read No Scope? I've been keeping up with it for a few months now and gosh I'm in love with that WEBTOON probably cause I kinda relate to gamers. But arghhh updates take fo-evah!

Also, I watched live action of Mulan and just gonna say that I. FREAKING. LOVED. IT!
I liked that it wasn't a musical and just gonna put this out there. It is WAY better than the animation and all of the other live action movies BY FAR. 10/10 recommend to watch if you can.

Anyways. I was feeling a bit motivated tonight so I guess I'll update. It'll be a gift to you all who are so patient with me!
