We're here at the dance floor but it feels like just the two of us exist in this world. Yung feeling na parang sa aming dalawa lang umiikot yung mundo.
"Happy birthday Gulf" he gave me his sweetest as he greet me happy birthday. I'm so happy this is my special day my 21th birthday, with my bestfriend Mew....the man I loved secretly for a long time-- yes, di niya alam kasi ayaw kong sirain friendship namin, I was afraid that pag nalaman niyang may gusto ako sakanya lalayuan niya ako. That's why I keep it to myself nalang.
"Thank you Mew" I smile at him sweetly.
Mew is my childhood bestfriend and to tell you the truth. I love him very very much. That's why I keep my love at hindi nalang inamin sakanya para di niya ako layuan.
"Are you Happy ?" He asked.
I nodded as a response.
Ngayong 21th birthday ko planong mag confess sakanya. It's been a long time since I hide my feelings towards him, and I think its time to tell him the truth that I love him damn much that I want him to be mine. I'm ready to accept ano mang isasagot niya sakin....I think this is the right time to confess to him.
"Mew, m-may sasabihin sana ako sayo"
"Me too Gulf"
Kanina pa siya ngiti ng ngiti I wonder why? He seems so happy thats why I got curious. Dahil ba birthday ko? Or--- whatever.
"Ano yun Mew"
Malapit ng matapos yung music kaya pinauna ko na siyang mag salita.
"Gulf, I know its your birthday, pero parang ako yung nakatangap ng regalo"
I stared at his handsome face. I never seen him happy like this. Para siyang nanalo ng jackpot sa lotto.
"So what is it?" Tanong ko sakanya
Natapos na yung music kaya hinila niya ako patungo sa table ng ate grace ko.
"Gulf-- ?"
He smiled and grabbed my sister's hand. Tumayo yung ate ko at hinawakan niya yung kamay ni mew-- they're holding their hands. Di ko maipaliwanag yung nararamdaman ko habang naktingin sa kamay nilang magkahawak.
Dont tell me---
"Your sister said yes!"
Niyakap niya yung ate ko. Me? I smiled bitterly infront of them. Gusto kong umiyak pero-- diko magawa.
I felt rejected kahit hindi ako umamin.
Umalis nalang ako sa harapan nila at lumabas muna ng venue. I cried hard nung makalabas na ako. Damn it hurts...it hurt me so much. Agad ko pinunasan yung mga luha ko baka may makakita sakin ano pa isipin nila.
"Gulf!" mew called me-- Holyshit andyan si mew. Nilingon ko ito. Papalapit siya sakin. I tried my best to pretend na parang walang nangyari.
"Oh hi Mew"
"Bat nandito ka? Hindi pa ako tapos mag salita iniwan mo na ako" he said
"Ah wala gusto ko lang mapag-isa saglit" I answered. Ngiti lang siya ng ngiti, ang saya-saya niya siguro kasi sinagot na siya ng ate ko. Ni hindi ko nga alam na gusto niya pala yung ate ko.
"Gulf your ate said yes---" hindi ko na siya pinatapos.

"I love you Mew! I love you 3000, just like our theme song I want you to hold my hands and I dont want to settled na bestfriend lang kita! I want you---- I love you-- but I know you're happy now with ate"
Finally I said it. Even though it pains me.... Aalis na sana ako ng hawakan niya kamay ko.
"Sorry if ngayon pa ako umamin. I don't want to ruined our relationship as bestfriend. Alam kong masaya kana sa ate ko. I just want to let you know-- I wish the best to both of you---" I can't help it my voice cracked while I was saying those words to him.
And---

He suddenly kissed me.

"Gulf-" he say my name while looking at me. I looked at him. Pinunasan niya yung mga luha na kumawala sa mata ko.
What is this??
"Gulf, finally your ate said yes!"
"I know you said it already!" Nakayukong sagot ko sakanya.
"She said yes-- na Susuporta siya para Ligawan kita" he uttered.

I'm so speechless.
Did I heard it right?

Mew hug me tightly "I Love You Gulf since the first day I met you" he uttered.
He kissed me again, and I response it with full of love.
Goshhh, this is the best birthday gift I ever received in my entire life.
