I walked up to the door and knocked lightly. The woman opened. The woman that opened was Scarlett people called her a witch and in fact she was born with magical powers. She was about 50 and she had yellowish hair and cold blue eyes. She stared awkwardly at me then stepped out the way. I walked in.

"Hello Scarlett." I said.
"Hello Roseanne. What can I do for you?" she asked taking a seat. I sat down as well.
"I need my daughter's memory altered." I said. She raised her eyebrow.
"Why?" she asked.
"I want her to have a safe human life I've already lost someone important to me because of werewolves I won't lose another." I said.
"Is Jayden OK with this?" she asked.
"I honestly haven't asked him." I said.
"Well please talk to him but I will do it but it will take a few tries to completely wipe her memory." Scarlett said. "How old is she?"
"1 she'll be 2 next month." I said.
"Very well that'll be easy she hasn't had many memories than." I smiled.
"Thank you Scarlett I'll come back tomorrow with Mackenzie." I said getting up.

"Good bye Roseanne," she said. I left and walked back to the pack house Jayden was at the door.
"Where were you?" he asked.
"I need to talk to you." I said. He nodded. "Not here." I said. I followed him to his room. I hadn't been in it for 2 years it hasn't changed one bit. I sat on the bed. "Well I want to alter Mackenzie's memory. I want her to have a human life." I said.
"What? Why?" he asked.
"Because I lost Lyra to werewolves I won't put Mackenzie in danger." I said.
"But I'm the Alpha there's no one to take over." Jayden said.
"Then I'll leave with her you're not changing my mind. Scarlett will alter her memory and we'll leave. I've got a degree in childcare. I'll find a job so don't think that you'll change my mind." Jayden sighed.
"How long will it take?" he asked.
"A while." I said.
"Who will take over?" I shrugged.
"Marc." I said. He considered this.
"And you're sure you want to do this?" I nodded. "Well I'm coming with you both." I smiled a little. Good I had him on board. "I'll go work things out with Marc then." I nodded he walked away.

I leaned back a bit. Oh no the grief was coming back. I stood up hastily and walked worried out the door. Jayden had sleeping Mackenzie in his arms. I walked down the hall. I looked up at the clock. 22:00 it read. I groaned 10 o'clock at night. I still had the whole night. I started walking scuffing my feet. All the lights went out and I walked slower down the hall. Darkness consumed me and I began to get worried. I shrugged the feeling off and kept walking. I preferred darkness I felt a bit better. I scuffed my feet as I walked. My only thought was over Lyra.

I wanted desperately for tomorrow to come the quicker I got away from this place the better. The quicker Mackenzie was safe the better. I walked the hallways blindly I didn't know where I was going. I was too deep in thought to- wall. I staggered back. I rubbed my head. I started walking in the other direction. I hit another wall. I staggered around feeling for a way out.

I hit another wall then fell back onto my butt. I let out a small laugh then the darkness swallowed me.

---------------------------------------------

I woke up to brightness. I sat up I was in the hallway. I couldn't remember last night but it was the first time of slept in days. I got up and walked to my room to get changed. I got into the shower and then changed. I walked back out again. Jayden had Mackenzie in his arms.
"You ready to go?" he asked. He meant to Scarlett's.
"Yeah let's go." I said. We walked over to Scarlett's house and she welcomed us in. She showed us to a small room with a single table in the middle. Jayden put Mackenzie on it.

"What would you like me to change her memories to?" she asked.
"I want her to remember Jayden and me but just has humans and my sister Lyra and when she died and that she died in a car crash. I want her to remember that our parents died before she was born. I want her to forget anything to do with the pack and werewolves on general." I said. Scarlett nodded and placed her hands on Mackenzie's head. Mackenzie stopped wriggling and closed her eyes.

"Will it hurt her?" I asked worried.
"No she'll be fine but I'll do it in one go so that you don't have to come back. It'll take a few hours you should take that time to find a house and plan a few things you can use my laptop it doesn't have a password." I nodded and Jayden and me left. We went downstairs. The laptop was sitting on the kitchen table. I turned it on and sat with Jayden. Jayden was the Alpha he had a lot of money we would have to leave tomorrow.

---------------------------------------------

It took us hours but we found a flat. It's a 2 bedroom one so it should be fine. We had to offer a bit more money to move in the next day but luckily the girl was desperate so she let us off. We told her we would be there quite early about 9 she said that was fine. Mackenzie was done getting altered. Jayden carried her back to the pack house. Jayden had already discussed the changes with Marc and told him not to tell anyone. I helped Jayden pack. Mackenzie was still exhausted and would be sleeping until tomorrow so I tucked her in.

It took us a while to pack as well. My mood had completely changed from emotionless to relieved. Jayden wrapped his arms around my waist when we had done packing. I couldn't stand not being around him anymore. I pressed my lips to his. He was too surprised at first. Then he leaned in a picked me up. I wrapped my legs around his waist and deepened the kiss this is exactly what I needed.

I ran my hands through his hair. I needed him so badly. He pressed me against the wall. I broke away.
"I'm sorry that I made you move away from the pack." I said.
"As long as I'm with you and Mackenzie I'm fine," he said. He let me down and it curled up in the bed he got in beside me and pressed himself against me. He switched light off. I fell asleep instantly.

---------------------------------------------

I woke up with a start. Jayden was ready and Mackenzie was still sleeping. I ran to the bathroom and washed myself quickly. I grabbed underwear and a bra and some jeans. I grabbed a red hoodie and slipped it on. The flat was quite far away from the pack. It was already furnished. All we had to do was unpack.

Jayden, Mackenzie and me all got into Jayden's car. He turned the keys and started driving forward away from the pack. I would miss this place. I grew up here made all my memories here. I stared out the window until the pack was out of sight.
