Chapter 15

2 years later

Things had been going great since we all left. Lyra loved school and was getting on great last week was her 13th birthday. Alexandra's little girl Jenna was born a week before my daughter Mackenzie. She's the most beautiful and smart 1 and a half year old I know. She's beautiful. I love her to bits.

Work has been going good I'm Kate's adviser. I didn't know every Luna needed one. Mackenzie is everything to me. I can't deny it was hard leaving Jayden at first but it's got easier now that I have Mackenzie. She's gorgeous she has thick dark brown hair the reaches her should blades the worse this is she has Jayden's turquoise eyes.

Alexandra and Jenna have been doing great as well. Alexandra works in the hospital actually. Kate and I look after Mackenzie and Jenna. I've loved it here this pack have done everything to make Alexandra, Jenna, Mackenzie and I a home. It's like nothing my pack could ever give.

I woke up with Mackenzie on top over me.
"Mama." Mackenzie shook me.
"Hey Mickey." I said.
"I'm not a mouse." Mackenzie rolled back laughed.
"You're my Mickey Mouse." I said cuddling her.
"Mama stop!" she giggled.
"Tickle time!" I started tickling her.
"No - mama - stop!" Mackenzie rolled around the bed laughing.

I hugged her tight. Someone knocks the door.
"Come in." I said. Kate came in smiling.
"Hello Mackenzie." Kate said.
"Auntie Katie." Mackenzie jumped off the bed and ran towards Kate.
"Hey Rose. God you like... well you're not a morning person are you?" I laughed and chuckled my pillow at her. She dodged and shook her head.

"Sorry Luna." I said.
"Oh shut it." Kate said. Mackenzie jumped down and ran towards me throwing herself at me.
"Oh Jesus." I said as she knocked me over.
"Come on get ready we have work to do." Kate said.
"OK fine see you in a minute." I said. She laughed and left.

I got up and went into the bathroom. I washed my face and did my makeup. I got into some black leggings, a red tank top and a long black cardigan. I slipped on my black converse. I got Mackenzie dressed into a cute pink dress.
"Come on honey." I said. She ran down the hallway. I chased after her. Ferguson was at the end of the hall.
"Alpha." I said lifting up Mackenzie.
"Good morning Roseanne." Ferguson was the only one who didn't call me Rose. I didn't expect him to.

He nodded and walked around me. I walked down to Kate's office. Alexandra was already there with Jenna.
"Jenna!" Mackenzie hugged Jenna. Jenna had short blonde hair and blue eyes. She's gorgeous. Jenna and Mackenzie were best friends.

Lyra was behind Alexandra. She had her phone in her hand.
"Hey you get to school." I said. She rolled her eyes and walked away. She doesn't speak to me much since she turned 13. She misses some of her friends but she loves it here as well.

"Oh I'm going to be late. Bye sweetie." Alexandra hugged Jenna and walked away. I opened the office door. Mackenzie and Jenna go to the corner and plays with the doll house. I sat next to Kate. She handed me some paperwork. I go through it.
"What's this?" I asked.
"Letters. Could you read them and tell me what's interesting and what's rubbish." I sighed and went through them. Most of them were private letters. One caught my eye.

Dear Ferguson and Kate,
I'm sorry to bother you but I would like to discuss the problem of the rouge pack near by could you please reply and feel free to bring any of your pack as well. They are all welcome.

No this cannot be happening. I handed Kate the letter. She sighed.
"You do know I'll have to bring you." Kate said.
"Why?" I said.
"Because you're my adviser I need you and I want you to come as your Luna." I nodded.
"Fine but Mackenzie is coming with me." I said.
"What? Fine if that's the only way you'll come." Kate threw the letter in the bin and got out a pen and paper. "Write him a reply."

Dear Jayden,
We accept this offer and will be at

"When will we be going?" I asked.
"I'll call Ferguson," she dialled Ferguson's number. "Hey listen Jayden wants us at his pack to discuss the rife problems... yeah I'll be bringing Mackenzie and Rose," she tapped the desk. "OK later babe," she ended the call. "Tomorrow noon."

I started the letter again. "Oh will I tell him who's coming?"
"Oh yeah well there's Ferguson, you, Mackenzie, Danny." Danny was the Beta. "Eh me and that's it." I nodded.

Dear Jayden,
We have accepted your offer and will be at your pack borders tomorrow at noon and we will be having the Beta, the Luna's adviser and her daughter as well and of course Alpha and Luna.

I handed Kate the letter. She nodded. I got up and went to post it. I sat down and leaned back going through the letters there nothing really.
"Alright anything else?" I asked.
"No you should pack some stuff for tomorrow. I'll call you if anything pops up." I nodded.
"Will I take Mackenzie and Jenna?" Kate shrugged.
"If you want." I smiled.
"Come on girls," they both got up and followed me to my room. They both went straight to Mackenzie's toy cupboard. I packed some stuff for Mackenzie and I.

I yawned and stretched. I could hardly get any sleep last night but I still got some. I shook Mackenzie.
"Come on sweetie." I said. I got up and went straight to the bathroom. I grabbed a pair of light skinny jeans, a white t-shirt and a light denim jacket. I brushed my teeth and but my hair in a messy bun. I did my makeup and got Mackenzie dressed into a baby blue dress, white tights and a white cardigan. I put on my black converse.

Mackenzie and I met Kate, Ferguson and Danny outside the pack house. It wasn't that long a walk to the edge of the forest which was the blue moon's pack borders. We walked in silence most of the way apart from Mackenzie that ran around the forest like a mad man. I picked her up when she got too tired. Jayden and Marc were waiting for us.

When Jayden's eyes tested on me. He couldn't look away. I glared at him. Mackenzie clung tighter to me. He smiled when he saw Mackenzie.
"Don't." Ferguson said. Jayden scowled.
"Hello Jayden. This is Rose my adviser and her daughter." Jayden extended his hand. I just nodded.
"We've met." I spat. Jayden shook Danny's hand and we were shown to ours rooms. I unpacked.

I heard a knock on the door.
"Come in." I said. I heard the door close. I turned Jayden stood in front of the door. "Get out." I said pulling Mackenzie behind me.
"You can't keep me from my child." I stared at him. What did he just say?
"Your child? Your child she's mine." I was raising my voice now. "YOU REJECTED US! YOU REJECTED ME! YOU LEFT ME ALONE! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT! NO RIGHT TO CALL HER YOUR CHILD SHE IS MINE AND ONLY MINE I'VE BEEN THERE SINCE THE BEGINNING! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN JAYDEN?" I felt the tears sting my eyes. "You're never going to touch her. Understand?" I said.

"I'm sorry Roseanne. I was wrong for rejecting you. I'm so sorry. Please forgive me. Roseanne please," he pleaded.
"You had two years. Two years to come back for me and you never did." I said. "Get out Jayden now."
"No I won't leave until you forgive me." Jayden said. "I need you. I made a huge mistake. Look at our daughter she's beautiful she deserves a dad."
"And you're a dad. You a dad? No you are nothing to her." I said.
"Tell me her name." Jayden said.
"Mackenzie. Her name is Mackenzie." Jayden smiled.
"That's beautiful." I held on to Mackenzie.
"Who's that mama?" she asked.
"I'm your daddy." Mackenzie screamed.
"No mama said my daddy was bad." I lifted her into my arms.
"You told her I was bad?" Jayden was getting angry.
"Tell me I'm wrong Jayden! Leave now!" I screamed. He stormed out the room.

I broke down. I started crying. I started sobbing. I couldn't do this. I couldn't do this.
"Aw mama stop crying daddy's a bad boy." Mackenzie hugged me. I laughed through my tears.
"I'll always have you baby." I said.
"Yeah mama always."
