What Do I Do Now?

"It's fine," i said, i didn't know what to say, what will happen when he find out.

"No it's not," Liam assured.

"Don't worry," i say touching his arm, with everything that happened yesterday i was hurt but i know he was too.

I watch as Lexi walk into class and look back at Liam, "I got to go talk to Lexi," i say as i'm walking away.

I caught up to Lexi, taps her shoulder and says,
"Lexi, please don't ignore me again."

"What do you want?"

"I just want to talk to you, how about after school?" i ask hoping she will say yes.

She turns to walk away "Please," i say.

She turns back then finally answers "Fine."

I walk into the cafeteria and sit down by myself and it wasn't long till people sat by us.

"Yo Camille," Jaden said.

"What's up?" Asher said.

Logan didn't talk once, maybe he regretted it, i'm starting to feel regret.

Liam came and sat beside me.

The rest of Lunch you hear Noah fighting with all the boys about a video game.

I get to my car waiting until i saw Lexi walk up.

"Let's go," Lexi said.

"What?"

"We aren't talking in front of judgmental teenagers."

"What about your car?" I ask.

"Liam drove me to school."

With that we both get into my car but i ask Lexi to drive.

Lexi drives to her house and we get out and talk on the front porch.

"Go!" Lexi said.

"Oh uh okay, do you remember how i said i had complicated feelings for someone," i say.

"Yes."

"I met Liam the night my brother died, he was the first guy to ever show interest in me," i said and i could tell Lexi was paying attention.

"He told me his father left before he was born, i was confused, i thought he had lied to me."

"Because we live with both parents?" Lexi questioned.

"Yeah, but that's what we were talking about in his room, he cleared everything up," i say.

"What did he say to you?"

"That his mother overdosed when he was 7 and y'all adopted him."

"And?" Lexi questioned.

"What?"

"That's all he told you?"

"What do you mean?" i ask in a confused tone.

"That's not all that happened," Lexi says.

"What happened?"

Lexi looks down.

"Please tell me," i say.

(Trigger warning ⚠️)

"Um," Lexi pauses before continuing, "Before we adopted him, uh he was in and out of foster care."

I nod before she continued.

"He uh," Lexi looks down while talking, " His foster dad used to hurt him, he would abuse him."

I gasp, "W-what?"

Lexi looked back at me and nodded.

"At his old school, he would act out, he would sleep with everyone, just to find a distraction," Lexi said.

I've never expected Liam to be like that.

"He wanted to change, that's why he wanted to move back here."

I felt horrible knowing what he's gone through just wanting to comfort him.

Lexi and I started hugging and i knew i needed to talk to Liam about this.

"We're good," Lexi says which made me happy.

Lexi goes on her phone to text Noah.

"Oh shit," Lexi gasps.

"What is it?" I questioned.

Lexi turned her phone towards me and i felt as if i wanted to crawl into a ball and die.

"It's okay i will fix this," Lexi says.

Someone had recorded Logan and I kissing.

My phone dings with messages from Logan.

I don't know who recorded us.

I reported the video.

I look at the messages and no matter if the video got taken down people seen it. My first kiss was all over the internet.

I started crying and Lexi hugged me.

"I shouldn't have kissed him," i said to Lexi but she just holds me tighter.

"Do you want me to take you home?"

"Yes please."

I arrive home and Noah came to pick Lexi up because we used my car to drive.

I walk inside to see my mom on the couch with a book.

I sit beside her, hug her, and started crying.

"What's wrong?" She questioned.

"Please don't hate me," I sobbed.

"Cami i will never hate you!"

"I wish Matt was here to tell me what to do!" i cried out.

"I wish he was here too," my mom whispered.

"I'm sorry mom, for everything."

"It's okay, i forgive you," she said back.

"Hey! How about we all go out to eat! As a family!" my mom said.

"Yeah, I will love that."
