I’m stupid. Like, I’m really fucking stupid.

Not for the reason that you are thinking about right now but it something close to that; I have now magically proclaimed myself stupid by allowing Muna lead me to a party again. Thank God it is not a club cause that place is too far and my feet hurts from all the walking yesterday

All of the blame is not on her though; I did somehow manage to think that I can drink away all my thoughts and problems with Jace since I have now unlocked some important information

But that’s the thing movies don’t tell you about getting drop drunk; it only makes you more stupid than you originally are;
I’ll explain in a second

I am now drunk dialing Jace as I lay in the backyard grass of the party house.

Why am I doing this? I should ask myself right? But I have no explanation whatsoever. It is not even hidden that he is avoiding my calls since he keeps cutting them off but I keep trying because I’m a knuckle head

“What do you want?” his voice comes out like a groan when he abruptly answers the call

“Oh hi” I hiccup but still laugh heartily at the tone he’s taking with me

“Are you drunk?” he asks and I nod, forgetting he can’t see me “Autumn?” he calls out, probably because I didn’t say anything

“No, sir. No, I am not drunk” I say and salute the air. I’m actually not lying because I am not as drunk as he thinks I am, maybe a little more stupid but I’m just a tipsy with spinning rooms

The line goes silent as both him and I say nothing before he heaves at the other side after a while “So why did you call me?”

Listening to his voice is so soothing and I nearly fall asleep while he is talking but I realized I should probably answer his question. I really wish right now that any one of my friends that are present at this party would take my phone away from me right now but that obviously won’t happen

It leaps off my tongues before I realize it “Because I think I may be in love with you”

There’s no sound at the other side of the line and I pull it away from my face to check if he had cut the call on me but it’s still on “Can you hear me?” I call out “Network must be shitty over…”

“Where are you?” he asks just as I’m about to hit my phone on the floor

“There, butter always does the job” I stupidly laugh at my own Alice in Wonderland reference

“Answer me, Autumn” his voice comes off in a grunt, low and menacing. It brings me to focus

“Some dude’s house party. An Eric, I think. Wait, why are you asking….” I hear the call end before I can complete my statement and I face-palm at my own stupidity

I roll on the grass with a groan before I get up to go find Muna. It takes me minutes unending to find her lain wasted on a couch with a lot of people dazed looking people around her. I shake her shoulder and her eyes open to find me, her face splitting in a lazy grin “Mrs Archer”

I roll my eyes “Jace is coming to get me. Will you be fine on your own?”

“Don’t worry about me, go consummate in my honour” she waves her hand in a courteous manner and I hope it falls off

I’m going to reply her but my phone starts ringing and I don’t even bother to pick Jace’s call because I’m sure the loud music inside the house won’t allow me to hear Jack shit so I walk to the porch only to find his car parked among others in the driveway and he is leaning on the hood, staring intently at his phone
