You just know that you have made all the wrong kinds of decisions in your life when your friends begin to make you do things that are completely out of your will. Most times you feel like throwing a tantrum and at other times you're paralyzed. But all options make you think about your life's decisions

For example, they could make you help them dispose of the body of a person they accidentally killed or they make you hide under the bed when their gang leader comes asking for his cut

All options still lead you to asking "Why in the world am I friends with you again?"

"Because you are secretly in love with me. You probably have loads of photos of me stashed somewhere, who knows" he rolls his eyes as he proceeds on pushing me into a room I don't have any intent on entering

I manage to pry my arm from between his long fingers and stand with my hand clamped over my mouth with my eyes wide in mock shock "How did you find out? My life is over"

He gives me a bored pointed look "I'm not asking you to participate in a heist, it's just my library" he rolls his eyes at me

It may probably come to someone's mind that I'm over-exaggerating things since it's just a library. But just imagine being forced into a situation you have no charge over and have no will to do. Mhmm

"Which I don't like going to, that place is spooky" I shudder in voluntarily

"You read books, how can't you go in a library?" He looks confused by my logic and I don't even blame the poor boy

"Look, I can't randomly pick up a book to read, Muna makes me read books. So I probably read like three books in a year for her sake"

"Huh. You both are weird" he's behind me in a matter of seconds and even with all my of tantrum, he overpowers me and pushes me through the doors

"Welcome to the dungeon of books" he comments as we walk in. His house keeper is at the large desk, dusting away. She peers at us before smiling sweetly and making a move to exit the room for us

She's pretty and she looks like a nice person so I smile back at her and give her a little wave of my hand before trudging in after Jace whose hands flit on the shelf before randomly picking a book from maze of paperbacks like it's his birth place

"You see, you're already warming up to the place. It's a saying, once you like the front desk, you like the whole office" he smiles stupidly over his shoulder at me

"No one, absolutely no one, says that and how in the world is your housekeeper your front desk?" I scoff and scan the part of the library that I've been lured into

"She's the first person you saw" he retorts. The place is a true wonder with shelves climbing to the high ceiling, crawling with books and a ladder for access

"Don't worry, I only own fiction. God forbid that I would actually take you anywhere relating to school work" he has a teasing smirk on his face as he sits down in a large armchair and leans back to watch me sift throw the shelves

He's staring intently at me, gauging my every move like he can suddenly discover a new civilization by observing me. His stare could have been unnerving if I wasn't checking him out myself

He has a light smirk playing on his lips like he knows what's coursing my mind but I don't bother, I just relish in admiring him before I turn back to the task at hand

"You know me so well I want to puke" I roll my eyes and let my fingers stray on the bind of the novels on the shelve "Your library is so stocked up. Have you read them all?"

"Yes, I read them before they get on my shelf" he mindlessly flips through the book in his hand

"Why exactly am I here where I clearly don't want to be?" I narrow my eyes at him which he pushes over with a calm smile of his

"You're here to read a book. You're brain and eyes are rotting from all those movies you watch" he keeps the book in his hand on the table and leans back to watch me with his arms crossed over his chest

"Yes mum" I roll my eyes and pick a random book. I turn it to the last page and read, I don't like the lonely way the book ends so I dump it back. Don't want anything ruining my mood when I'm done with it.

I pick up another book and read the last page. Crap, suspense. I search if the second book is available on the shelve but I see none so I dump the book back too

I pick up another book and am reading its final page when it gets snatched out of my hands. I throw a mental tantrum. That one actually looked good

"What the hell are you doing?" He's staring wide eyed at me like I attempted to murder a baby. He holds the book far away from my reach

"What?" I'm confused as to what I've done this time

"Why are you reading the end before reading the whole book?"

"The endings are the best part. Besides I can tell the good stuff from the end" I seat on his desk and my hands reach for a book on it. My eyes flit over the book quickly before he gets jittery again and tries to take the book out of my hold but I move it out if his reach too

"I'm taking this one" I say with a finality. I don't know what it's about but I just feel the need to tease him in his obvious agitation. I laugh "Who knew you get so affected by books?"

He laughs nervously and scratches the back of his neck "Guess that's why I major in English Lit"

"Yeah, y'all are the book reading club of the uni" I laugh when he glares at me. I drop the book behind me and pull him towards myself in an attempt to distract him from taking the book

He smirks and leans on the table so that are faces are in close proximity "Look who's now seducing me"

I remember when I'd unintentionally said that on the morning after the party at his house. Heat floods my cheek and I try to push him off me but he doesn't budge

He laughs as his eyes searching mine "I'm going to kiss you now" his voice is gentle and I'm highly mesmerized by the sound

My mind doesn't register what he says until his lips lightly brush against mine before they begin to move slowly, moulding against my stuff ones

My eyes go wide when my brain becomes alerted and I push him off of me as gently as I can. He thankfully gets the memo and leans away for stare at me

When his green orbs search my face, he pulls away from me as his cheeks tint in embarrassment. His fingers go into his mess of curls and pulls them away from his face

"Were you...you were not? I'm so fucking sorry" he trips over his words before turning away from me to curse at himself

I bite my lip to keep myself from laughing at how hard he's going on himself. Unluckily, a short laugh escapes from between my lips and his body spins to face me

I slap a hand over my mouth when I find his gaze scrutinizing my movement "You aren't offended?" His voice is gentle, light as a whisper while his face contorts in worry

"Not really. I just wasn't expecting that" I shrug

"I'm really sorry" he says again and I brush it ever so slightly

"Now you're calm, you can tell me why you don't want me to read the book you wrote" I smile and reach for the forbidden book from behind me

He has on a shocked expression while he stares at me
