"So why are you here?" I stab a piece of pie with my plastic fork

"Huh" Jace looks confused by my question but he doesn't take his eye off the plate of pie we are sharing. Its like a silent battle where were trying to get the last piece. I mean, yes we could have just bought separate plates but God forbid that life is ever that simple

"Why did you transfer here in the middle of the session and how?! I'd love to meet your parents just so I know how to do the magic on mine too" I stuff my mouth with the creamy stuff and wish that I knew how to make it

"You're weird" he comments

"Why, thank you" I place my hand on my chest before rolling my eyes at him

"It wasn't a compliment" he further states with a look that is bound to prove how dumb I am

"But I'll take it as one" I try to stare him down which obviously ends in a tie

"Alright, alright. No fighting today" he says, resting his fork down and sitting back in his chair

That is all we have been doing all week; arguing about baseless stuff. I have even actively tried to avoid him, but we just end up meeting again.

"I decided to travel for a bit, take a break from what I know and see the world. Let it be my classroom and the people I meet be my classmates, or my teachers" he says

"Very poetic man, very poetic" I point my fork at him

He rolls his eyes then looks around the room "Can you even tell when I'm being serious?"

"Nope. Because I'm not a witch. This isn't the movies my friend" I pat his hand playfully while he glares at me before a beautiful grin spreads on his beautiful face

Yes, I am not even ashamed to be admiring him so much. Anyone who doesn't is a witch, I mean it

It's not even easy to acknowledge, sometimes, that some people are works of art, renaissance and modern, which should be in museums

Okkkkk. So maybe I'm exaggerating things a bit but the boy is a beauty with green eyes and shimmering smooth skin. Does he use a bronzer? That reminds me that I'm supposed to buy a face mask for Muna before she has my head for dinner

"What are you thinking about?" Jace's voice breaks my train of thought and my eyes dart around the entire shop just not to look at him

"Uhm....dinner" I mumble "No, Muna.....yes! Muna's dinner!" I perk up with a lie finally, smiling sheepishly at him

His eyes narrow in slits at me and it's obvious he doesn't believe me but decides to go with it. Hell, even a blind man wouldn't believe me, no deaf rather. Blind or deaf?

In my state of confusion, he takes the last piece of pie and shoves it into his mouth, his eyes alight with playfulness

"I hate you" I puff and sulk back in my seat. I use the moment to scan the shop and wonder why in the world it's half empty. People should be packed in here to get a taste of this pie which this rabbit before me just finished

"Sure. Let me walk you to your dorm" he gets out of his seat in a second and disappears from the shop even faster Okay. Weird...but okay

"I'm not sure if it's really a good idea for you to come with me to my room" I rub the back of my neck awkwardly, looking at the shops we pass by as I fall in step with him

"I didn't say anything about going to your room" I can literally hear the smirk in his voice and I mentally facepalm

"Oh shut up" I mumble and walk faster in the heat of my shame. His laughter rumbles in my ears, the beautiful sound resonating down the street

"Besides I have to meet this Muna that you are so in love with and it's not even that long of a walk" he says with a light shrug as we near the dorms

I choke on my own saliva "In love? Why would you say that??" I stare at him pointedly

"Wonderful how you one pick one of my statements to respond to" he rolls his eyes as we walk into the dorm, and gestures for me to lead the way

"Just like you are doing right now?" I raise a brow at him, smirking coolly

"Nope, I'm tactically ignoring you. There's a difference" he says as I push open the already ajar door to my room. I hope she isn't around to sacrifice me for coming in late

"Where have you been, young lady?" I hear her voice echoing though out the pitch black room. I halt at the door way, causing Jace to bump into me

I turn around to face him with panic in my eyes

"And that is my cue to leave, catch you later Dawson" he salutes me and begins to walk away. I grab his hand, halting his movements

"Don't leave me here in the dark all by myself" I plead with him, linking his arm tightly in mine so he can't run

"Girl, I will leave you here, I will leave you there and I will leave you everywhere. Let. me. go." He stresses and shrugs me off him.

He is already at the other end of the hall before turning back to me "Good luck" and he disappears

Cheers to friendship. That rabbit. I'll need the luck though

"Come in" she says and I do, already squirming from the amount of shouting she'll be doing

"Hii M..muna" I laugh nervously as I shut the door behind me
