THIRD PERSON POV:

THE THUNDER CLAPPED LOUDLY, startling the shy boy. The girl next to him turned, eyebrow raised. "You're still scared of thunder?"

Just hearing her voice caused his cheeks set flame, before shyly nodding. His bottom lip caught between his teeth. "I can't help it..." He mumbles, wrapping his arms around himself. His eyes shut tight as another round of thunder sounded from outside them. The girl who sat next to him, watched in amusement, finding his little fear kind of cute.

His eyes snapped open as he felt her arms wrapping themselves around him, his gaze immediately set on the cold girl who had now settled her chin on his shoulder. Usually her eyes had a glint of emotionlessness that always sent a shiver down his spine. But now, in the tender moment of their relationship, love and joy swirled in her eyes as he smiled softly, revealing his dimples.

"Watcha doin'?" He questions, amused. Her eyes meet his as she glares at him. "Shut up, or I'm leaving you alone." She mumbles. He laughs, finding her threat cute. Resting his hands on hers, he leans his head on hers; letting his eyes flutter shut. Moments like these were really something to cherish. He couldn't help but wonder how he had gotten such an amazing girl, especially with his shy nature. The cold exterior around the girl behind him had caught his attention. He understood that she found expressing her feelings hard, so he never demanded it from her. But when she did decide to show him her love, his heart thrummed quickly against his chest.

"Are you cold?" He whispers quietly, eyes still tightly shut. For a moment, he gets no answer. Though, the soft shake of her head against his back tells him she heard his question. "You keep me warm." She mumbles, almost shy. Burying her head on his back, she could almost see his grin as his chuckles quietly resonated around them. "I do, huh?"

His voice had been one of the only things that helped her calm down. Meeting him had been nothing short of a blessing to her, she loved him. She loved him so much, losing him seemed unbearable to her. Her past haunted her; but he didn't seem to care. She didn't expect him to stay by her side when she had decided to open up to him, seeing as no one ever had. He didn't see her as a burden, and she was glad. She was glad to have met the wonderful boy in front of her. He never rushed her, and had always made sure she was comfortable. He was her everything.

"Mhm." She murmurs softly. The shy boy smiles softly, his hand reaching to run themselves through her hair; flinching as the harsh sound of thunder echoed around them. The girl sighs as she turns them around, forcing the boy to lie in her lap. Her gaze stays in front, watching the sky as lightning flickers around them. Her hand brushes through his hair, his smile lingering on his lips as he stared at her. "Do you want to hear a story?" She whispers. She often shares stories, whether they be her own or not, as her way of comforting him. He loved these moments and often yearned for more, but he never made that known to her.

He hums softly in agreement, his hand capturing her free one, as he busied himself playing with her dainty fingers. She nods once, her eyes seemingly glazing over.

"A young girl had always carried a heavy burden with her, to her; these were her demons." She started, the boy keeping his gaze locked on her, "She never wanted to let her demons out, feeling as though the world would've turned against her if she did."

Clearing her throat, she continues, "Her heart constantly felt heavy, all the betrayals and heartbreak she'd felt through her lifetime already catching up to her. She had had enough. She decides this world is too good for her, that she didn't deserve to take a space on earth. The night she decides to end it all, meant too much to her. The reason is unknown, though she couldn't take it."

"She meets an angel. Maybe it's the one she had been pleading for leading up to that night, maybe it was just an ordinary human; but to her, he was her angel." The small smile settling on her lips spread warmth across the shy boy's chest, watching as her eyes unfocus, telling him she's far from with him, "It was amusing to her, 'how could a girl with this many demons have an angel?', but to him, none of her demons matter. To him, he was just a girl. Maybe even a beautiful girl."

"She's thankful for him, she always will be. For he had saved her that night, he may not know, but he did. He was her savior." She pauses, hesitating for the next part, but the presence of the shy boy on her lap was enough for her to push through.

"She was quick to fall for him. His charm, his wit, his looks, his everything. Simply, she fell in love with him. He had given his everything to her, as she did with him. He had grown to be someone she never wanted to lose."

The soft snores coming from her boyfriend caused her heart to warm, her gaze finally lowering to him. She admired his eyelashes, as they grazed softly upon his cheeks. It didn't take much to figure the girl in the story was her, though to the shy boy on her lap, the story was just of someone from the top of her mind.

"I love you so much, Nev. I know I don't say it often, but I do. I love you, my angel." She whispers softly, planting a soft peck on his forehead.
