Chapter 21 - A battle

Both Ash and Serena made their way home until they heard a voice.

"Stop right there!"

Both Ash and Serena turned their heads around to see who it was.

"Are you Ash Ketchum?" The boy asked.

"Yes," Ash replied.

"That's good." The boy said with a small smile.

"My name is Alain." The boy introduced himself. "Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too."

"I heard from Sycamore that you are a strong trainer," Alain said. "And you have a Mega Stone."

"Yes," I said. 

"I am looking for a strong trainer who can Mega evolve their Pokemon. After I heard from Professor Sycamore that you have Charizardite X, I couldn't wait to meet you and challenge you for a battle." Alain explained. As you can see I have Mega Stone and my Charizard is also able to mega evolve."

Ash nodded.

"Will you accept my challenge?"

"I accept your challenge!" I shouted.

"Alright! We will have our battle tomorrow at school." Alain replied.

"Okay," Ash said.

"That's great! " Alain replied with a smile and walked away.

"That's great! Right buddy?" Ash asked.

"Pika!"

Ash and Serena arrived at Vaniville Town and they walked towards Ash's house. Ash rang the bell and the door was opened by Mr. Mime.

"Thanks, Mr.Mime," Serena said with a smile.

"Mime Mr. Mime!"

"Mom! We are home." Ash shouts as they enter the front door.

After hearing Ash's voice Delia quickly walked to them.

"Ash and Serena. Why are you two late?" Delia asked as she raised an eyebrow. 

"Serena and I decided to walk home," Ash said.

"Okay," Delia nodded. "But you arrived just in time. Dinner will be ready soon."

"That's great!"

"Pika!"

"I will be back in a minute," Ash said to his mom and he walked upstairs.

Serena turned to Delia, "I can help with setting up the table."

"That would be great!" Delia smiled and the two of them walked to the kitchen.

Ash opened his bedroom door and saw Riolu standing there.

'Master,' Riolu said.

"How many times have told you that don't call me master," Ash said. "You can call me by my name."

'But, you are my master.' Riolu said innocently. 'And you saved me.'

"Forget it," Ash said.

"Pika!" Pikachu's sweat dropped.

Riolu titled his head.

After 10 minutes

"Ash dinner is ready!" Mom shouted from the kitchen.

Ash walked downstairs to see everyone was already there at the table.
