Poem 12 {Can't You Save Me?}

A vice clamped around my neck yeah

And I haven’t figured it out yet

So I write this little note, you see it minuscule

Like me

Why don't you see what I see?

Why can't you see everything is tumbling down around me?

Can't you hear me screaming at the top of my lungs?

Or to you is this some sick way of making some fun?

I can't believe in you

Because you can never be true

These scars never seem to heal

More opening to make a new raw hue

I want to breathe, I want to feel

But nothing ever seems real

Not for me, never for me

I can't catch a break

But upon every new turn I do break

The pieces keep falling

And I can't help but keep calling

My knight in shining is real

For he is more believable than you

Maybe you’re really the dragon

But will you really be slain by the dagger?

You’re the monster of this mess

The voice that makes me count everyone of my steps

Why do I follow you when you do not follow me?

Why do I bow when you forever pull me down?

Your pages say redemption, the pages thin and wise

Or are you really truly feeding us all lies?

You say redemption but you have not tried

So practice what you preach, just to save your hide

It’s too late

Yet still I wait

Can't you save me?

Oh if you could only see

There is nothing left of me
