Poem 19 {You Don't Want Me}

I'm standing out here,

On the edge of a cliff.

The winds wisping around me,

Caressing my skin,

My hair gently sways in my eyes as they close.

But I'm not soothed,

I'm standing here alone,

My arms are wrapped around me,

Holding me together,

As you don't want to hold me.

You do not want to wrap your arms around my waist and to never let go.

You do not want to nuzzle into my neck and breathe in my scent.

You do not want to wrap your warmth around me and to never let me be.

You do not want to whisper in my ear your desires and needs,

Each and every one involving me.

You do not want to brush your lips against my bare skin and whisper you love me.

You do not want to stop these tears nor my fears.

But what you do want is to break a girl's dreams.
