I believe in fairy tales.

You holding me tight and laughing all night,

Catching your eye as you watch me in awe.

Combing my hair as we lay on the grass, in the whispering breeze.

Holding my hand I feel like I can take on the world.

Saying you love me makes my smile reach for the stars.

So fairy tales are still real right?

When I don't catch your eye,

And there is no such thing as those three words,

Right?

Our hands part as you sign off with a stab in the heart.

So fairy tales are still real right,

If all I see is the dark?

If all I can do is crumble and shake as my world begins to break.

My tears spill as my laugh becomes a thing of the past.

My voice is a piercing silence and my smile is still nonexistent.

My body is heavy as its stuck to the ground,

I'm alone now.

I have locked myself in a corner,

But I still can't escape the pain nor the fear of being alone.

But still,

I don't want to admit fairy tales aint real.

And in you came.

A stretched out hand and a gentle smile.

I stepped back tentative.

Until you whispered those words;

'If you say I do. I will make your fairy tale come true'

With a smile that's not been seen for so many years,

I take his hand.

With a heart flying I walk into the sunset.

I do believe in fairy tales.
