Poem 39 {Forever The Black Sheep}

How can you do that?

We share the same blood.

How can you look me in the eyes and say those nasty things?

How can you smile at me later as if your such a role model?

When all you do is tear me down and kick away my dreams.

You keep knocking me back and I keep forgiving you,

But still it never works.

It only ends with me in tears.

Am I that much of a shame to you?

Am I really a disgrace to you and your name?

You treat me like dirt and still you expect so much in return.

I don't know what to do,

It seems your goal is to destroy my self-esteem and any dreams.

But I'm wasting away here,

I'm growing weaker and weaker

And you say you're trying to help

When all you're doing is making it impossible.

Impossible for me to smile.

Impossible for me to get through.

Impossible for me to walk through that door

And greet you without being a fraud.

Impossible for me to trust and talk to you.

You're making it impossible,

For me,

Your daughter,

To even love you.

Cause you think you get me, you think you're fixing it.

But you're only tossing me back in the deep end,

But this time,

I really will be alone.
