Slight warning: I started writing this book over a year ago & have improved significantly (in my opinion) since then. The first 5-10 chapters of this are admittedly not my best work & over time, I will be going back & editing them. I had an issue with it's/its & there may be a few spelling errors. I hope you can look past them— it gets better, I promise.

❝Contrary to the popular belief, there's a very thin & fragile line between saying too much, and saying too little. More often than not, you'll find yourself unable to balance on that line & tipping to one side or the other, before inevitable falling. Whether or not there will be something there to catch you, that depends on how much was left unspoken.❞

There are things in life that we swear we'll never do.

Some people pledge never to lie, others promise never to tell a secret; but of course, with a little time & persuasion, doing the action they vowed never to do is inevitable. Nearly everyone has made promises with a genuine sincerity in their hearts, only to later go & smash their promise to fragments with a sledgehammer— it's just what people do. No matter how hard they try & resist, if the thought remains bubbling in their mind for long enough, it's bound to boil over eventually

Rachel Hale wanted to stay true to her promise. She swore she'd never go back to Beacon Hills after a fire killed nearly all of her family, yet when one of her two surviving siblings was brutally murdered within the confines of the town, she couldn't help herself; not after the arsonist who burned her life to the ground walked free. Alongside her older brother, Rachel went back to the damned town, & almost instantly fell head over heels into chaos— and took a whole lot of people with her. Before she even knew what hit her, she was fighting not only for her own life, but for the innocent people who didn't belong in a supernatural world like hers; innocent people she began to care more about than she was willing to admit. Unfortunately, for someone like Rachel who knows just how quickly everything she loves can be destroyed in a town like Beacon Hills, caring may turn out to be her biggest mistake.

Ok so firstly, here's my second attempt at a third person story. Go Aly! [Yes, I phrased it like that on purpose.]

I've had the idea for Rachel's character for a long time, but I couldn't figure out how to fit her in the season. Ta-da, I finally found a way. And I finally chose a character name that doesn't start with S.

Face claim for Rachel is Emily Rudd.

And here, we have the ever-annoying little part that I must add, to avoid getting my cute little ass thrown in jail for copyright & shit.

I DO NOT OWN TEEN WOLF. Just Rachel.

May 2017 | EDIT: For the first 22 chapters (season one), as you know, there is no Isaac. But my character doesn't exist just to be a love interest; she has her own struggles & her own story. She isn't going to have a love interest in season one, and the relationship will be a slow burn. Too often stories centre solely around the romantic plot, and I don't want mine to. My character has her own journey & it doesn't require a boyfriend.

Now, on with the story c:
