Ashmore. Jaycen Ashmore but I go by Jay. That's the name of one 18 year-old plus sized, African American teenager also known as me. First of all don't think of the stereotypes when I said I'm black. Just because we are taught to think independently doesn't mean we are loud. We have the right to voice our opinions. However, It's hard being plus-sized and black, but I manage. The only downside is guys never try pursue relationships with me further than friends.
Sometimes I wonder if it's something to do with my appearance. 5'5 is barely average, my dark brown hair transitioning, two brown slanted eyes covered with glasses I'll never take off, wide, pierced nose, a few moles under each eye and full lips. Oh also with a little more meat on my bones than an average size person but...that's their loss because I know I'm beautiful even if they don't. Unless it's my personality and attitude. My friends say my personality is strong but I can also be mean. My response to them is I'm pretty damn awesome and anyone would be lucky to know me! Well, maybe not aloud.
I'm never going to change, unless it's for the best, but it's probably this boring town in Mississippi called Forrest that can't handle me. Did I mention my town is also lame? I have no excitement in my life once-so-ever, which should not be the case because I'm a senior, which entails excitement. But nope, all I get is Roseline High and my best friends.
