Chapter 6

DPOV:

I woke up the next morning to screaming coming from the next room, the room Rose was in. My heart leaped into my mouth as i thought of all the terrible things that could of happened to her, i ran the short distance that was between us and opened her door to discover her thrashing around on the bed, she was still asleep, having a nightmare. Occasionally a scream would erupt from her throat and fill the room, i rushed over to her side and tried to wake her up. I gently shook her shoulder staying clear of the one in a sling

"Rose, Rose, wake up" It didn't work so i tried again, but shook her shoulder a little harder and her eyes snapped open, she scanned me and the room and started panicking again

"Rose, calm down, your safe here." her breathing started to slow down and the tears that were streaming down her face slowly came to a stop

"Im so sorry" she sobbed "Did i wake you?" I shook my head

"No," i lied "i was already awake" I didn't want her to feel guilty about waking me up, she obviously had enough to deal with "Are you okay?" She nodded her head

"Yeah I'm fine, memories just came back to me thats all, I'm so sorry you had to deal with that" I gently wiped away the tears on her face with my thumb

"Don't worry about it, you couldn't help it. You just scared me that all." I didn't realise it until it was too late but all the way through speaking i had kept my hand on her cheek, surprisingly she leaned into my touch and closed her eyes again "are you tired?" I asked, she opened her eyes but kept her cheek on my hand

"A little bit, but if i go to sleep ill have the nightmare again if I'm alone" i nodded my head showing i understood.

"Try and close your eyes for a bit, you look shattered" she nodded and i slowly moved my hand away from her face, she closed her eyes and i made my way to the door. But before i could reach it Rose called out for me

"Dimitri?" She asked, i turned around to face her "can you stay with me?" I nodded and walked over to the bed, i sat down and lowered myself next to her "Thank You" she said.

"Don't worry about it Rose, just try and get some sleep."

A couple of minutes later and Rose was fast asleep again, i knew this because her breathing has slowed and her body has gone limp, i felt quite tired myself so i closed my eyes and started to drift to sleep as well.

RPOV:

Dimitri was sweet, he had accepted me into his hime, lent me a room to stay in and comforted me when i had a nightmare. I don't no why i asked him to stay, but for some reason i did, maybe i felt safe with him around.

When i opened my eyes i noticed how close me and Dimitri were, he had his arm draped across my waist and i was lay right up against his side. Dimitri looked so peaceful when he slept, the bags that had formed under his eyes from when i woke him up earlier had faded, yes i knew he was lying, it was obvious, i mean, who wakes up at 4:30 in the morning? From where i was lying i could see the clock next to the bed, it read 9:45, me and Dimitri had been asleep for a little over 5 hours together. I gently slid out from Dimitri's hold and shuffled over to my side of the bed. It would be a bit awkward if Dimitri had woken up when i had an discovered us like that.

Without even realising i was tired still i fell into a peaceful sleep which consisted of absolutely no nightmares, i had a strange feeling it had something to dk with the gorgeous Russian in the bed next to me.
