Tonight's event is our prom night. I'm not very excited in going there because I had traumas, I think, when it comes to formal parties. Well, ang sabi naman ng school namin, ang money na galing sa prom ay mapupunta sa charity so it's for a good cause.
I looked at myself at the mirror. I'm wearing a black cowl neck, spaghetti shoulder strap dress with a slit on my left leg. I partnered it with a black heels that has strings around my legs.
I volunteered to do my make up kaya simple lang ang ginawa ko. Like how I wanted, I focused only on my eye makeup at ginawang simple ang sa ibang bahagi ng mukha ko. I also did my hair updo, it's like a messy bun but with style.
Huminga ako ng malalim. Mavi said that he'll pick me up at 6pm because our prom starts at 7pm. Malapit lang naman ang hotel kaya okay lang.
The past weeks with Mavi are fine. Sya na palagi ang kasama ko dahil mostly, kami ang magkagrupo. I also often see my friends pero ngitian lang dahil magkakaiba nga kami ng schedule. Simon and Zack are same with my schedule, though but we're too busy to even start a conversation. Malapit na rin kasi ang mock defense namin.
Mavi already texted me that he's downstairs. Siguro kinakausap na 'yon nila Mommy!
Bigla tuloy akong may naalala. He just waits for me outside the house, kaya never syang nakilala nila Daddy as my boyfriend.
I walked down our stairs, hawak ang black purse ko sa left hand. Agad akong tiningala nila Mommy, Daddy at Mavi. My parents smiled while Mavi's lips parted. Napangiti ako dahil roon.
"Wow, you're so beautiful, anak!" Mom's eyes watered and covered her nose down to her mouth.
"Thank you," I chuckled and caressed Mom's arm.
"And Maverick's your date," Dad arched his brows and looked at Mavi.
"Dad," pigil ko. Baka tinakot na nito si Mavi.
"Is he the boyfriend that you're talking about?!" Mom exclaimed.
Nanlaki ang mata ko sa sinabi ni Mommy. I quickly held her hand and glanced at Mavi who's smiling.
"Ma, no, he's no-"
"Oh, come on, it's okay! You're of age and... Maverick's a good kid! I know his parents, anak! They went to your debut!" Mom said and looked at Mavi.
"Y-yeah, I know," sagot ko kay Mommy.
"How's your parents, hijo?" Dad asked him.
"They're fine po, they're currently in Canada but I'll tell them you asked for them," Mavi said politely and smiled.
Nag-usap pa sila saglit hanggang sa pinaubaya na 'ko ni Mommy kay Mavi. Hindi ko pa nga nasasabi sakanila na hindi ko boyfriend si Mavi!
