For the past days, I thanked my parents so much because they've been staying in our house and planning my debut for next month. Dahil rin doon, hindi ako nagtatagal sa school, resulting to not being with Basty for a long time.
Basty:
Do we have a problem?
That was his text last night. Hindi ko na nareplyan dahil natulog na 'ko. For the past days, I became cold to him, or distant. At sa mga araw na magkasama rin kami, hindi nya sinabi sakin yung kasama nya si Liane.
A part of me understands that he doesn't need to tell me because we're not together or something, he doesn't need to tell me anything that's been going on in his life. But also a part of me doesn't like what he did. He's like giving me motives that he kind of likes me, so why not tell me that he spent an hour or so in the library with the girl he wants to forget?
Ngayong umaga, ihahatid ako ni Daddy sa school. He said that he needs to go to Bicol to check our warehouse there, si Mommy naman naiwan sa bahay dahil sa trabaho at dahil sa pagprepare para sa debut ko.
When we were on our way to school, I saw two messages. One from Aliyah and one from Basty.
Basty:
Hey, can you text me when you got here? I have something to give you.
Aliyah:
Good morning, Madam! Di ka na nagreply saakin kagabi, Madam! Asan ka na? Sabay tayo pasok! Nasa cafe shop ako katapat ng school :)
I replied to Aliyah but not to Basty. Malapit na rin naman ako sa school kaya doon ko nalang sya kikitain. I kissed my Dad on the cheeks and went inside the cafe. I saw Aliyah there, alone. She's now drinking in her iced coffee.
"Uy!" She greeted me.
I sat down and ordered water.
"Kamusta naman, girl?" She asked.
Hindi parin ako nagkukwento sakanya. Sinasabi ko lang na nagkakamabutihan na kami ni Basty. She would always be happy for me but at the same time, worry, because of our 'deal', what doesn't she know is that, our 'deal' is over.
"Okay naman," Sagot ko.
Umirap sya. "Hindi ko iniwan si Zack sa terminal ng tricycle para marinig na 'yan ang sagot mo!"
I sighed. "It's nothing, really, Aliyah,"
Tumaas ang isa nyang kilay at humalukipkip.
"You can tell me anything, ang tamlay mo kaya these few days! May problema ba sa fake jowa mo?"
If I tell her this, maniniwala parin sya na may deal parin kami ni Basty. It's about Liane and Basty after all.
