Pt.26 of not knowing what to call a chapter

ARALEYN PEOPLE!

Anne POV
I hold onto Mamas hand as we walk into school. It was my very first day and I was scared, "Mama, I don't want to go" I say and she picks me up and opens the door,

"I know Baba, but you're gonna have a great time" she says and I give her a sad smile.

"Why couldn't Dad come too?" I ask and she bops my nose,

"Because he had to work"

"He always has to work." I say and Mama stops at a classroom with lots of kids in it. "Mama, I don't wanna go in" I say and she sets me down and take my hand. She walks into the classroom with me behind her leg, she stops and gets on her knee.

"Baba, come on. You're gonna have so much fun. Think of all the pictures you can make me, Dad, Mary, and George" Mama says. She kisses my head and stands up,

"I-I. No, Mama please don't make me" I say feeling tears in my eyes.

"Baba, I have to go to work. I promise I'll be back before you know it" she says and a lady that's as tall as Mama walks over.

"Hello. I'm Ms. Paris, and you are?" She asks looking at me. I back away and walk over to Mama and tug at her pants (trousers)

"Yeah Baba?" She asks and I wipe away my tears,

"D-Don't go. Pl-please," I ask and she picks me up and brings me over to Ms. Paris, I nuzzle my neck into her neck and she rubs my back.

"Hi, I'm Elizabeth and this is Anne. Anne why don't you say hello?" Mama asks and I shake my head, Mama sighs. "She's really nervous. And, I hate to leave so soon but I really have to go to work" she says and sets me down.

"That's alright. I'm Ms. Paris by the way. Anne why don't you come with me, I'll show you your seat." She holds out her hand and I take it slowly, she smiles at me and we walk toward a table. "This is your seat" she says and I nod.

10 minutes later
I watch as the other kids play with each other, I don't want to play with them, there's so many people here. I grab my necklace, it was my moms and then she gave it to me. I look around and saw two girls, one was wearing yellow and the other was wearing red, they were walking towards me. Uh oh. "Hello" the one in yellow says, she was really pretty.

"H-hello" I say and she smiles

"I'm Catherine and this is Anna. What's your name?" She asks,

"A-Anne" I stutter and she smiles,

"Wanna come play with us?" She asks and I shrug, "we can do whatever you want," she says and Anna taps her shoulder.

"I'm gonna go play with Kat. Is that okay?" She asks and Catherine nods her head,

"Yeah" Catherine says and she sits down next to me. "What do you wanna do?" She asks and I shrug again, she smiles at me. "C'mon." She says holding out her hand, I take it and we walk over to the carpet. She shits down and I sit across from her. Her eyes, there is something about them that makes me feel like I'm safe and okay, like when I go home. Her eyes make me feel like I'm going home. And, when she smiles she makes me feel weird. "I like your necklace." She says and I smile,

"Th-thanks" I say and she smiles.

"You're welcome"

Catherine POV
I was talking with Anna when I turned around and saw a girl, she was pretty. "Anna, lets go talk to her." I say and point at the girl,

"Okay." Anna says and we walk over, why did I want to know her, she was just a girl. Maybe I wanted to know her because she needed a friend.

I smile as we sit down on the carpet, she has freckles and green eyes and I love them. I think that maybe Anne is gonna be my best friend.
