Narrator's POV

It was a short morning, filled with you and Levi's embrace. Both of you huddled underneath the clean sheets while talking about whatever popped in your mind. Of course, it was you who had done most of the talking and Levi happily obliged to listening. Though it seems as if he had no interest, your words really did intrigue him, possibly made him more attracted to you.

"-and Eren said that there was this thing called an ocean, I'd love to see that one day." You finished off with a deep breath, imagining the rest of the world you have yet to discover.

And Levi just listened. He listened at all your dreams and fantasies you had, at all your desires and wishes.

"Say, Levi. When this is all over, what will happen to us?" Your words were soft, and so was your expression when you looked at Levi.

"Tch. What kind of shit question is that?" He replies, pressing his lips together afterwards.

"I mean, like, when the titans are gone, what will we do with our lives then?"

So then, Levi's gaze seemed to have softened. Now he understood your phrase. It was like you were asking what you wanted to do in your future. Whether it was building your own house, having a few brats run around, or travelling around the world, you wanted to know what Levi wanted to do. Of course, Levi would want to spend a life like that with you, he wouldn't openly admit that though.

"What do you want to do?" He says, eyeing you.

At first, you were a bit hesitant with what you were going to say. After all, this seemed like a really touchy subject and when Levi had asked it seemed as though it became very sensitive. So, you carefully thought out the words you were planning to say to him, hopefully none would piss him off or creep him out in a way, rather touch him somewhere in his bitter heart.

"Well, I know for sure I want to spend a life with you." Ah, you really meant that. You could how much you meant those words just by the gleam in your eyes when you lovingly stared at Levi, by the way the sentence had flowly drifted off your tongue like a butterfly flying into the sky.

"It sounds nice. Let's just hope those brats that you call friends won't ruin anything."

And thus after a conversation about your wild thoughts, you stayed buried in Levi's arm. He was warm, and you loved that. You loved everything about him, even his lack of sensitivity towards others, because it made Levi, Levi.

Levi loved you too, though it was difficult to openly say it in front of his fellow comrades, he definitely said it when you two were alone, and at the right moments too. Oh God, how he admired every part of you and everything you did, even your loud snores that would sometimes wake him up at night.

That's what you both had in common; your strong admiration for each other.

And that's why you both are good together, because no matter what you both do, you still love one another.

It was an enigma that Petra envied so much as she solemnly leaned against Levi's door, listening to the way you two talked to each other. She could feel it, the love radiating in your tone of voice, and how Levi reciprocated.

Petra perhaps, was consumed by jealously, and she recalled her memories from last night she was so tempted to commit something she'll know she'll regret. She wanted to ruin you, break you, see you crumble in ways just to satisfy her envious feelings. Of course, it was hard to do so when Levi was always with you. Oh how she wished it was her wrapped in his arms, not you.

But Petra's thoughts were disrupted when she spotted her inching towards her.

"I'm leaving, have you made up your mind yet?" The woman before Petra kept herself at a distance from her, and kept her voice quiet in order for no one to hear.

"Yes, I have." Petra shyly says, a hint of confidence in her voice. But just a hint, barely noticeable.

"Good. I look forward to seeing what your mind comes up with."
