I tapped my finger on the wheel do the beat of the music whilst speeding down the highway.
"Now Iv had the time of my life"I sang whilst bobbing my head lightly.
It's been 3 years since Payton passed,I miss him so much.
I miss the days where we'd go to the hype house,oh god remember the hype house?i think I'm the last surviving member.

"Kai is calling you..."the speaker said interrupting my karaoke
I sighed and pressed the answer button
Me-you alright son?
Kai-hi mum,tomorrow night me and Katie want to go for a meal,do you think you can look after the kids for us?
Me-can't Colby?
Kai-iv already asked him,it's not like you have anything better to do
Me-you never know
Kai-can you?
Me-of course I can darling
Kai-where are you?
Me-on my way back from the hospital,I was visiting your uncle chase
Kai-how's his treatment?
Me-it's...not good they're saying he'll have a few months left
Kai-oh..I'm sorry
Me-it's okay,anyway I'll see you soon
Kai-okay bye.

Call ended
I rolled my eyes and looked back to the road,a loud beeping noise deafened me and I swerved,I skidded across the road and into the other lane where oncoming traffic was coming.
Everything moved in slow motion as the truck got closer and closer,the terrified look on the drivers face made me pause as he honked and honked.
I felt the slight impact as he clashed into the side of the car

"Mum,can you hear me?"
"I'm so sorry she just sat there"
"Get the fuck away from me"
"I don't know what happened,she just swerved then stopped"
"Is she okay doctor?"
"We don't know,we have to get her to the ER straight away"
"Is she breathing?"
"Barely.I think you should say your goodbyes incase she doesn't make it."
"What do you mean she won't make it?Shes only 74 it's too early."
"Son..say goodbye."
"Mum,I didn't say it back.I love you too."
I could hear everything,but the worse noise was the machine flatlining.
"What does that mean?"
"She's passed"

"No I haven't I'm right here."I grunted sitting up
"No,mum I'm so sorry."Kai sobbed leaning through me
"What do you mean?im right here?"I said climbing off of the stretcher
I looked to him and saw my dead body
My heart sank before I felt something touch my shoulder
I turned around
"Payton?"I asked,he was young again.
"I missed you"He smiled softly
"What do you mean?"I asked as he took a step forward.
"Your here with me now."He smiled as I turned back to Kai who was crying on his knees with his head in his hands
"But what about the kids?"I asked as he hugged me from behind and watched the world go by
"We can guide them now,together."He smiled 
We both stood there and watched as my body got carried away in the ambulance.
