[I got this idea because I'm wicked gullible]
Just stop teasing me:
"Hey y/n did ya see the dolphin over there?" Edward smirked.
"Where!?" I quickly skipped over to the Jackdaw's side staring out into the ocean, "I-I don't see- hey!" I glared at Edward, "give me it back."
"No." He smirked again.
"I hate you!" I stormed off.
"You're cute ya know that, lass?" The pirate yelled at me.
"Shut up!" I yelled back at him.
I can't believe he did that just to get the map off me! I found it yesterday while I was doing some reading and I thought it'd be a good find. If I knew he would spend two days trying to get it I wouldn't have taken it. This is why you shouldn't befriend an assassin pirate.
Some of it is my fault for being a gullible pushover. But Edward and the rest of the crew shouldn't take advantage of that! It's not my fault!

"Did ya know the jackdaw used to be blackbeard's ship?" A crew member told me. Why was Edward snickering along with Adéwalé?
"Really?! That's cool!" Edward burst out laughing, "what?"
"Ya- lass- are- so- dense-" Edward gasped between trying to breathe and laugh.
"I don't understand..."
"Of course ya don't." Another crew member patted my back. Huh?

"Hey y/n, Why does it take pirates so long to learn the alphabet?" Edward asked me.
"Uhh I don't know..."
"Cause they spend years at C!" He chuckled.
"I-I don't get it..."
"Ya don't..."
"No..." He stared at me blankly.
"Come on..."
"No..."
-10 minutes later-
[for the record this happens to me way too much]
"I GET IT!!!" I stood up and yelled from my now standing position with Edward and a few others on the deck.
"Get what, lass?" Edward asked.
"THE JOKE!!!" Everyone stared at me dumbstruck.
"You gotta be kiddin' me."
"NO!!!" I laughed, "it was good."
"You're slow, y/n." The assassin sighed.
"Yeah I know." I gave him a bright smile.
"I'm so done with ya, lass."
Edward grabbed my hand in his.
"We're really gonna have to work on you're skills when it comes to... Really anythin'."
"I'm not that bad!"
"Keep tellin' yaself that."
"I will!"
