Chapter 16:

We walked back to class 3-C's dorms, and knocked again.

The same girl answered, "Shinso?" She asked.

"Yeah."

"Just a second." She said.

A few minutes later the door opened again. "Seriously. What do you guys want?" He asked.

"We want your help. Can you control if someone tells the truth?"

"Yeah, I'm working on it... why?"

"Do you remember Midoriya?"

"Who died almost two years ago? Yeah."

"Well..."

"He's not dead." Mr. Aizawa said.

"What? I thought he died during a villain raid."

"No he didn't. We can answer any questions on the way to the hospital. Please come with us."

"Okay..." we started walking to the hospital, "so Midoriya is alive?"

"Yeah."

"Why do you need him to tell the truth?"

"Because. He was with villains for almost two years. We need to know if he still is."

"He was a villain?"

"Not by choice." I said.

"How?"

"All For One has a quirk that changes what you want. He made Midoriya want to be a villain."

"Okay... how did we not know about this?"

"Because we thought he wouldn't come back. We were obviously wrong."

"Yeah."

We walked into the hospital, then took the elevator to the third level. We went to Deku's room. We walked in and he turned to us, then locked eyes with Shinso.

"Hey Shinso..." he said.

"He doesn't look very different..."

"I'm not-" his face went blank, and emotionless.

"Ask him whatever you want." Shinso said.

"Okay... Midoriya, do you still feel like a villain?"

"No." He replied.

"Do you know for sure where All For One is?"

"No."

"Do you know where he might be?"

"No."

"Great. So he's not a villain, but we have no idea where All For One is?"

"Nope."

Deku snapped out of it and looked at us, "you know I would have told you that anyway."

"We needed to know you were lying. Sorry."

"Well I'm not. Now can you unchain me?"

I looked at Todoroki. He walked over and froze the chain, Midoriya easily snapped it.

"Thank you." He said grabbing his wrist.

"Okay, so we have no idea where All For One is... but he's probably going to want Deku, right?"

"If he did, he wouldn't have let me go... or had it so weak... I don't know what the point of that was..."

"Yeah why did he take you, but make it weaker?"
