NICCOLE'S POV
I knock at the door and wait for him to answer. Soon enough, the door opens and I'm faced with a very sexy, very shirtless Alex, on eight packs. He was wearing just knee length boxers, with a white towel around his neck.
"Alex" I acknowledged
"Niccole" he answers. "Come in. I've been expecting you". And I entered his house, struggling not to glance around, and compare it to Quillon's. But alas, I did. Alex house didn't have the careful thought over arrangement that Quillon's house had. It felt like a bunch of furniture were just thrown I together not necessarily because they fit, but because the owner liked them. There was no skill here, random colours were thrown together. It showed a sign of recklessness.
"I see you don't approve" he said after a while
"What?" I'm shocked out of my reverie, I didn't realize he's been watching me the whole time
"The expression on your face, tells me you don't approve of my home"
"No, no. It's not that. I'm sorry. I was just trying to compare it to someone else's...that was wrong of me. I'm sorry" I blurt out, blushing from embarrassment. This guy manages to place me in a spot every time. Damn!
"Whoose? Quillon's? Your billionaire boyfriend?" He mocks
"Quillon's not my boyfriend. Neither is it your business to begin with" I shoot right back, hating the way he calls Quillon's name
"It is my business, when you begin to compare my home to his. We can't all be perfect billionaires like him".
"Well, I already apologized for that didn't I? Besides, this house isn't even the kind of house a burial planner who attends to just female clients can afford. Just who the heck are you self? And how did you and Quillon even meet?"
