Try to remember all the good times that we had
Just be happy that we met; I know that I'm glad
But I'll be too far away to lend you a helping hand
And I can't hug you or hold you, so please understand
I can't rock you to sleep whenever you come crying
And I can't wipe your tears away and that's terrifying
I'll be too far away but I'll always be by your side
I can't touch you, but you'll feel me in every stride
My spirit will be present through the things you love and hate
But I won't be coming home, so please don't wait
Just pray for me, and cherish the moments that we had
Feel some happiness for our memories; don't drown in the sad
When I'm gone, don't wallow in sorrow, but prepare for a new start
And just know that for forever, I'll always be in your heart
