He passes her everyday
Plucking up the courage to say
A simple 'hello' or just "hi"
But he chickens out; and runs by
She wishes she could just say anything
But when she tries; it's like falling on her shoestring
Her mouth goes dry and heart beats fast
So instead she just rushes past
Each have loved each other for a while
Only passing by with nothing but a smile
Though time will never fill their pages
Their pure love is one for the ages
Since they'll never get to be together
Their feelings will stay hidden forever
Like a beautiful, melodic nursery rhyme
Their pure love will be frozen in time
